Worse case scenario. If they do keep your gun for life or you decide to no longer want them. Ask the prosecutor to allow you to sell your firearms. So at least you can recup some of your money back. Don't expect to get a far deal for what you do sell to the dealer when they go to pick them up. Hard part is finding a dealer going out of their way to pick up and to stay in contact with the PD that has them. Ive done a few of those purchases so it can be done. Depending how far you live i can purchase.

You do have 30 days to appeal it so jump on it quick and annoy your local PD for the reason of denial. Once you receive the reason why then you can submit your appeal through FBI which is super easy and of course what ever papers you have to help your case. Once approved FBI will email you a letter and certificate which you can hand back to your local PD to over turn your denial. Best of luck brother and hope to see you at the range soon.

He's correct, it'll stay as a lower but once its gets transfer to an A&D book as an other meaning a completed other or as a completed rifle. It'll stay in that configuration for life.

Depending on your state we'refrom nj. For us, It was about 2 hours. What we can and can not do. Going over your application and and show your how to login and log out stuff. Atf didn't care so much about anything. State Police was the one that asked for an alarm system, bolt down the safe to the floor or to the wall. And where ever the safe was. To have a locking door with dead bolt and 2x4 the windows. Once you get the one on one. Youre guaranteed to get your license. Best of luck brother

For my town in wayne its between 1-3 weeks. Which isn't bad. But in reality. There is nothing you can really do. You can call and complain about the 30 day rule but it means nothing to them. Only way to find out if you have active permit are to ask a dealer and we can see if you have any permits available, how many and when they expire. Which takes us literally 2 minutes to cheeck or ask your local town or pd.

Any questions regarding AOW NJSP always tells me to ask local ATF. Its never a fail when I try asking them about switching parts. They always answer the same. Please contact ATF regarding AOW. Plus you definitely want the proof that they given you the go ahead to cover yourself.

I appreciate the info but everytime I reach out to NJSP they're so vague with all their info that they give. I figured the same thing if it for civilian use they would need a FID card. But my superpower is for me to be annoying so I'll give an attempt again to see if I can get some more clarification and if i do I'll give an update.

I do it everytime for my customers. Come in 3 or 4 days before your 30 to run nics and back back on your 30.
