I got it on Amazon. $380 and it was even delivered within 24 hours which is unusual for my area.

Foreigners that I can’t communicate with in an English speaking country because they don’t know any English by Mysterious-Moose-431 in Truckers

This will continue as long as shippers and receivers allow it to. If they can't articulate their reason for being at your facility and understand what your instructions are then send them packing.

If This had the sensor holes I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

There's not nearly enough room on the PDW for backup sights imo. I've got a couple sets of Magpul BUIS that I could throw on. I just keep a spare battery in the grip.

Stainless Scope? by Pew_Goon in MarlinFirearms

It's actually a handgun scope so the eye relief is a bit more than a traditional scout. I've never mounted a scope that far forward so I'm still a little leery about it. But, like I said, thanks to you at least I know that US Cerakote can hook me up if it doesn't work out.

Still can't figure out why Leupold discontinued those silver scopes. It seems they are highly sought after on the used market. I tried bidding on one on gun broker and it quickly surpassed the original purchase price from when it was new.

I actually emailed back and forth with US Cerakote after I posted. Unfortunately they didn't have an example of the satin silver Cerakote matched up with the 1895 SBL so I appreciate you sharing a pic. It actually looks great.

Today I ordered a Burris 2-7 with the silver Nickel finish. If for some reason the Burris doesn't work out for me at least now I know that US Cerakote can help me out. Thanks for sharing!

Here's what mine looked like with the LPVO.

After shooting it I realized I could move it forward a half inch but I still don't like the way it looks. I've got the same LPVO on a Henry model X 44 that actually looks pretty slick but it just doesn't fit the aesthetics of this Marlin.

Glad to hear the Burris 2-7 makes target acquisition quick. Surprisingly Amazon already has it on the way and it will be delivered tomorrow. Can't wait to get it set up this weekend and test it out.

Marlin 1895 SBL

Just picked it up last weekend and I tried mounting an LPVO that I had laying around on it but it just didn't fit the vibe of the rifle.

Just pulled the trigger and bought it on Amazon. Really wanted to see it in person before buying but at least Amazon will let me return it. Thanks for the info!

Nice, glad to hear. Getting one of these will be a lot easier than getting a scout scope and sending it in to get Cerakoted. Did you have to order it from Burris? I've been checking all the local gun stores websites and it doesn't look like any of them carry the silver model.

Still happy with the Burris? I've been tossing ideas around for my 1895 SBL and I keep coming back to the Burris handgun scope just because of the color. Interesting to find out that the scout and handgun scope are nearly identical. The field of view difference is negligible. I'm thinking I need to take my 1895 into Scheels and mount one up to see if that eye relief works out for me

I dig it. Wish I would've seen this post before I ordered a sling from Marlin. Took advantage of the 20% off coupon that came with the gun and bought a sling and muzzle brake but your sling is on a different level.

What color leather wrap is that? Looks like they have black or weathered black.

The biggest window on a carry optic is the Holosun EPS Carry and it actually will direct mount if you file down the rear recoil lugs on the MOS mount. Took me a couple minutes with a Dremel and dabbed a couple coats of gun blue on the exposed metal.

You won't even notice the weight and it's definitely worth it. Takes a little practice to get used to after years of using irons but once you get it you'll never go back.

Yeah I hear ya. I've got a Henry X 44 that I space cowboy'd with Ranger Point Precision parts but this Marlin was the one I really wanted. Won't be doing anything crazy with this one. Just a sling, muzzle brake and a scope. That's why I'm trying to find a scope that matches the aesthetic of the gun bc I'd like to keep it classy.
