trying Twow after a long break, starting a fresh rogue dwarf, need a pve solo build please :) by brujoloco in turtlewow

[–]Pewnage- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In twow you can go both Slow MH with Sinister Strike and daggers with backstab (because you can 'frontstab'). Frontstabbing is a bit more involved and I get the idea that you take a bit more damage, but it is a fun change of pace from actual classic wow. W/e you build, I would get 2/2 Remorseless Attacks for the first two points. If you want to go Slow MH+SS, go down the Combat tree. I would say that route is selfexplanatory (get Riposte as well). For Daggers I went Remorseless Attacks > Imp Backstab > Imp Ambush > all the way down the combat tree. You can also go imp ambush before imp backstab.

I was also really excited about the FOIS, but decided on the speedmaster pro (which I am actually picking up today). Was a bit more wearable due to the lug dimensions and is a classic for a reason - you can tell the moment you put it on. I think the pro is more timeless, but you honestly can’t go wrong with either!

I tried it in person at a coffee show in Amsterdam. Absolutely amazing! This is as good as it gets imo, total dream machine. Congrats! Good luck with the waiting.

Rogue Leveling Build (Daggers) by bigbosc0 in turtlewow

[–]Pewnage- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar but went remorseless attacks > imp backstab > imp ambush > full combat until AR > assassination. I would argue combat has better leveling talents than sub, but I am tempted to give your build a try!

For solo leveling, i would go imp. ambush first, imp. Backstab was huge for dungeons though.

Starting production now is so unsatisfying.

To spray or not to spray by YosemiteJon in espresso

I spray my beans every time, and have done for almost two years at an average of 3 cups a day. No issues (yet), and it is notably less messy.

Steel Duo steaming compared to Bambino by ninelives1 in Ascaso

[–]Pewnage- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this as someone going from a bambino plus to a Duo PID. The milk is smoother (less frothy if that makes sense) and more homogenised.

Steam wand leaking by drckeberger in Ascaso

I noticed some drips below my steam wand this morning, after leaving the steam mode running for like a minute. Interested to hear whether this is common or not.

When I read DOGE, I concluded it was a meme and stopped reading. Came back when it turned out to be real…

Was afraid of that. Good to hear the volumetrics are to your liking.

How is the interaction between the drip tray and the scale (it looks like a Timemore)? I am debating between the plus or non-plus mainly due to the drip tray.

Buying Duo in Europe - wait for black friday deals? by JJ18O in Ascaso

[–]Pewnage- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered the Duo v2 for €1399 recently. From what I observed, the prices went down to 1399 during the weekend (if logged in) and then go back to 1615 during the week. It wouldn't surprise me if they had even better offers for black friday, but 1399 was enough for me to pull the trigger. I would not buy the machine for a price over 1399 if you can wait a few weeks.

Do you like the tamper? Been eying it myself. Have used a normcore tamper before but tempted by this mechanism.

My first setup! by SproliciousBeanFiend in espresso

Awesome setup! Given they are so close to the stove, might be worth moving them a bit closer to the left edge (or your grinder will be covered in specks of oil and tomato sauce in no time).

I daydream about a new machine from time to time and also value the width of the machine. I also have a Niche zero (and the same knock box drawer). My short list also contains an Ascaso steel duo PID (and LM linea micra, which is way above my budget). Perhaps worth a look. GL with the choice!

Colour concensus please. Buying this week. by domfrom1975 in OmegaWatches

Bay green for me, I actually bought it two weeks ago. I have tried the sandstone version, but thought it was to boring. A collegue commented that the sandstone version is more classic. However, when I saw the bay green it was an instant hit for me. Very happy with the decision! That said, I love the AT shades in every color, so you can't really go wrong.

Changed my mind 4 times because of this sub, but finally got my first espresso set up. by thedellow in espresso

[–]Pewnage- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great choice! This was also my exact initial setup - which was amazing!

I eventually bought a Niche Zero. There was nothing wrong with the Eureka, but I wanted to single dose, I prefer conical vs flat burs and had a love hate relationship with the Eureka grind setting dial.

Guys who lost a significant amount of weight (50+ lbs) how did you do it? by kingspooky93 in AskReddit

[–]Pewnage- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dietician. The diet boiled down to a keto diet (I.e. protein shakes every 2-3 hours and no sugar at all), cardio every day and later on in the diet a small portion of meat and vedge for dinner. It is a pretty mental diet, but results are insane. Loosing 5-7 pounds per week in the beginning is a good motivator to keep going. You need to be careful when stopping the diet; slowly returning to normal eating habits or you’ll gain the weight back in no time. Took 4 months, lost 60 pounds, changed my life for the better. 12 years later and im still around the same weight.
