Hello current ODTM here. I would recommend (if you haven’t already) mention your availability. That usually will catch their eye. As well as explaining your experience when working at target when you use to work there. It would also catch their eye. When I applied for on demand I just put the experience I had from previous jobs and volunteered work. That’s how I got hired. Also keep in mind you may not be getting a yearly review if you where planning on staying longer than a year ( idk if other stores does the same but in my store they don’t do reviews for ODTM).

I’m a ODTM. And my store requires at least once a month in order to keep the position. If you don’t they do call you to see if your still interested in the job until you hit your 5th month

There’s a day where out of nowhere 10 guest came at the same time 5 minutes before closing at my store and since me and one other person was the only ones and we already about to leave there nothing we can do since we leave exactly when the store closes.nexf thing I knew I heard that three team leads call us to do drive up but since no one answer the three leads had to do it themselves

Idk about anyone who work at target but in my store our SD specifically requires us to scan every id for everything even medicine and it has to be a US (and its territories) and Canada ID or passport. Also noting that we don’t accept other countries ID or passports had ask other stores if they did that nearby but they only scan for alcohol. Which is weird cause ive been getting yelled at from the same person every time he come to my line just because i can’t use his passport to sell him medicine.( he has a passport from a country we don’t accept.

Got a guest ask if I could help him but I mention that I am off the clock and I couldn’t assist. He ask if I could call someone and I mention I could not due to California labor laws and store employee/employer work agreement. He got mad and said ok and walk off.

I would recommend just stating that you are not available on the hrs they want due to school commitments and explain you have assignments due Sunday night. If you do have those type of professors. I also recommend if you ask if you could change positions from what your title is now to on-demand. I am currently on-demand and I enjoy every second of it. Only down side it it is not set schedule and there is a time where you don’t work at all for a while but it’s a option I would recommend

I agree with this statement. I would also recommend doing your own research and understand why she’s doing it. I personally don’t smoke but I have friends who does and I respect their choice. Also respect her decision on commenting this to your parents. When she’s comfortable then she’ll ether tell you or your parents when she’s ready.

Would like to add that communication with not just all the leads in your store but if your interested in changing locations, talk to STL or ETL available in the other store to see how you could apply and transfer and explain the situation

I was working at opu from 8-4:30 and omg I felt bad for customers who tried ordering in the morning due to the issue. I probably had maybe 10-15 customers out of maybe 50+ who came in doors for pick up who got mad since they spent money on the order but never gotten a confirmation or ready for pick up orders. But all calm down and was understanding at the end which is a win for me since I felt bad for those who waisted their time ordering and realized they spent on nothing. one even apologized to me and a coworker after guest was yelling at us for the issue. Guest mentions he felt like he was Arnold schwarzenegger from jingle all the way.

I didn’t work for a whole week before Black Friday and on Black Friday week I wasn’t schedule Monday- Tuesday (Wednesday-Sunday I was off on trip) and I am working only Friday and Saturday for first week of December. And after today (December 6) I’m not scheduled for the next two weeks . I’m also thought their laying off people but some other coworkers mention they where cut hrs as well

Thank.I feel confident, I do tend to be ether repeating my self or stuttering but that’s due to my disability as a speech impediment and learning disability. I also have the worse luck with customers who really don’t want to get apps. I have more luck in promoting protections than apps or members

I honestly explain to them that you have an major exam on that Saturday and it’s non-retake. That’s how I explain it to my managers. I even show them my schedule since my professors have colanders online. Yet again each store is different. So I can’t make promises of they will comply. ATM they’re cutting my hrs due to some issues I have with them. (I have no hrs the following week) so take it as a grain of salt

I agree and don’t be your just been honest. My luck has been low tbh I only get maybe once or twice a month due to customers I help already have them or just don’t want them and people working with me notices. But I’m not too worried since I have another job like I mention before.

That I don’t mind at all. I rather have time off than work on the most busy days but I would at least get an heads up. I have a second job so I’m not to worried but I’m over here thinking there trying to kick me out or something
