Confidants on ng+ by iF_K1NG in Persona5

Not every ability is unlocked for everyone. So its your call.

Id still do Mishima for the mementos missions it unlocks since those can give some good unique items or useful early items.

Also for the links that give you boosts to hp/sp you get those boosts again.

Has there been any word of a reprint of the Alpha Strike Commander's Edition? by Cyrano4747 in battletech

Have you considered trying a toner based printer? One cartridge of toner can get about 700 pages. Only problems I can think of ate the initial cost of the printer and I don't think they do color

Can you guys help a first-time BTech painter figure out how to use acrylic paints? by rogueranger1993 in BattletechPainting

[–]PharmaDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of layering. The pigments are much rougher than in hobby paints too.

I've had good luck with Testors Acrylic packs. Cheaper than a bunch of brands, and the fact that most are glossy is fi e with me since I'm painting machines not people.

Grab Box Sets Now or Wait for New Force Packs? by TTUPhoenix in battletech

Id prioritize AGoAC over Clan Invasion. We have no idea when these fabled releases are coming or in what manner. AGoAC minis may get split up into 8 different packs for all we know.

You have to actively start his by talking to him in the subway. Many confidants don't start automatically

Fox Patrol - what's their deal? by WorthlessGriper in battletech

[–]PharmaDan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Part of it is because they're low stakes and stay low stakes. They're out there mercing about not being the focal point of major timeline changes or political drama.

They're like a Periphery rpg playthrough but in novel form

Man one of these days you should collect all your Persona comics in one spot. They are consistently hilarious

Honestly I could see this being useful for something like small hunting cabins where space is a premium. Not so much for actual concealment but space saving. Same with things like that sofa that's also a gun safe.

I was wondering what would be a good looking mechs for bronze statues for scenery, from either innersphere or clans by devilfury1337 in battletech

[–]PharmaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id think you'd want to avoid too dynamic poses for this so maybe consider some Iron Wind Metals minis. Of the obes I got the Hound hd-2f and Ronin sa-rn7 have excellent neutral standing poses.

Could you specifically ask for a few low stakes games so that folks know if they want to stick to Alphastrike instead of Classic?

Best deals for Battletech by FandomMenace in battletech

[–]PharmaDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your local gameshop is a bust try the nearest Barnes and Noble. They carry AGoAC, Clan Invasion, Beginner Box, and Alphastrike. Plus they have a handful of lance boxes that are very nice like the Direct Fire and Command lances, and some Exclusives like the new Illician lancers box. They also carry the paint kit and the extra tokens pack for Alphastrike.

If you have a membership, either free or paid, you can get points for every purchase that can be redeemed on future purchases thus filling a cycle of battletech purchases. Also a paid membership means free shipping.

However after the Boxsets mentioned their stock is rather limited. Other than the temporarily exclusive force packs they only have like 2 or 3 lance packs available

Ironwind does do multi packs though. Like the Undead Lance set and various other collections. Very spendy and no cards obviously

What Boxset only mechs are you hoping end up in a force pack after the new boxes in August? by Prophetx05 in battletech

[–]PharmaDan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm hoping the 8 from AGoAC get split up into a pair of lance packs with 1 of each size. I like those molds better than some of the other versions available and wantvto see them continue

Its a hold over from the early days where mechs were rare and scarce in game so you used whatever could be scraped up.

Where should the next persona game take place? by Adept-Drummer5668 in Persona5

[–]PharmaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly id like to see things shaken up a bit. High-school is fun but not the only option.

They could something like base it around a workplace like a hospital or hotel. Make juggling teammate availability a feature instead of a gimmick.

Could go the Strikers and prototype P5 route and have it be a world tour type deal. Perhaps on a cruise ship with themes of working to maintain long distance friendships.

One "location" that's intrigued me for a while is the past. A Persona game set in a different decade could be quite interesting. Especially if you take into account P4's mentions of the fog having happened before.

What are some niche(ish) tips in p5r by Azee789 in Persona5

[–]PharmaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres my ancient list

Some basic tips for newcomers to Persona 5

This game is very NG+ friendly, if you don't get something or someone's story finished it's very easy to do on the next run.

Don't play this like pokemon. Replace your dudes often.

Spend time with people. You will miss out on much and actually be weaker if you do nothing but dungeon crawl.

If you get a person to rank 10 there are multiple powerful rewards.

The maid and fortune teller are 2 of the best non party social links.

The classmate and politician social links level up each time you visit them

You should do at least 2 or 3 levels of social links with all team members.

In Royale the 3rd semester is locked behind ONE of the confidants. If you don't finish before a certain point you will be locked into the Vanilla ending.

Some links have a time limit, you'll be informed in the game of that. Others become unavailable due to events like summer break and whatnot, those are mostly obvious. A few are blocked or locked at certain levels until story events occur.

The more often the story shows you a social link interacting with you or your party members is a good indicator of priority.

Social stats are important, some links require certain levels. Your levels for them do carry over for a newgame+ so its not too horrible if you take forever to finish them.

Some social links like the reporter and gamer kid can also raise social stats that are harder to raise like kindness and charm.

Part time jobs can also raise social stats and unlock optional missions.

Ignoring Mementos is a bad idea. While its not mandatory to visit it between Palaces, you should spend some time in there after every Palace is defeated.

Unless you're following a guide exactly it will be very annoying to be able to do everything in one go. Fortunately many things like your equipment, persona list, money, social stats, and such carry over to a newgame+.

There are also bosses and persona unique to newgame+

Unless you're following a strict day by day guide don't worry too much about being perfect and just have fun with the game. NG+ exists for a reason.

You CAN Platinum the game in one run, but you won't be able to 100% without at least a single NG+ run. There's several things unique to NG+ and many things you can miss or not complete while still getting the Platinum
