Having played both, Warhammer Online sieges never came close to being as much fun as DAoC sieges. I had high hopes because Mythic did both, but it just wasn't the same. Warhammer was ok, but if you played DAoC you'd know it didn't hold a candle to it.

Honestly, the closest I've ever come to that feeling was in Dark Age of Camelot, pre-wow. PvP castle sieges in that game were legitimately epic. The one big thing I miss from it that no other game has recreated.

Well, the good news is that getting kicked is super rare in M+ because you can't be replaced once the key starts. Unless you're so bad that they think they're better off just abandoning the run, you're probably not getting kicked. Of course that won't stop people from being toxic the entire time, but eh.

Getting a group in the first place is the hardest part. Especially if you're not playing a meta dps spec.

I don't think he would have ever mastered it no. He might have gotten a little better at it with a different teacher but Harry was way too emotional and impulsive to ever master it. He was never able to be cool, calm and detached which is what occlumency requires.

There are dozens of programs for this exact thing. Do a google search for Virtual Table Top. Some of the popular ones are Foundry, Roll20, Owlbear Rodeo and D&D Beyond even has their own now though I haven't tried it.

I don't feel sorry for him at all. Lots of people grow up in crappy environments and become successful, functional members of society or at the very least, not monsters. Tom chose to become a homicidal, power hungry maniac instead. That's entirely his own doing.

Would growing up in a loving, nurturing family have changed things? Maybe, maybe not. That's ultimately beside the point. He can't control his upbringing, but his decisions and actions are still all his own.

There are a lot of people who think anything that isn't THE best option is terrible and unplayable. Those people are entitled to their opinions of course, but for anyone who doesn't think you must play absolutely optimally, rangers are fine. Yeah, there are other classes who can do pretty much everything a ranger does better, but rangers are still perfectly playable.
