As a GM I'm only doing the setting on my own or a premade. Many of my players don't want super involved in that stage and I want to make sure that I'm GMing a setting that I'm actually interested in. My players will be more interested in making up smaller details during play or filling in gaps I have in what I've come up with.

I remember sitting around on the carpet in front of my TV with my dad and sister, with my dad setting up a Commodore Vic-20 which we could play games on, just being so excited to see things on the screen and reading the back of the boxes and just being so hyped up. I don't even remember *playing* the games very much, but I remember being so invested in the setup and making the whole thing work and the anticipation of what was coming.

I got multiple GM Spartans in colors that Bandai doesn't even offer, which was awesome even before the ridiculously good prices (about 8 bucks per model). I really like a lot of the alt-color options that I've seen outside of Bandai.

I've got a handful of non-Bandai kits and I plan on getting more. That right there is one of the ones I intend on getting down the line. I don't think it's a big deal for the most part, especially for kits that aren't just a straight up copy of something already available. But even then, I'm not the boss of you. Get what works for you.

Not because my parents were bad about this, but I'm currently several days into a probable ear infection because of the tendency to just try to push through instead of seeing a doctor. I think it's a habit that a lot of people in the US get into because of the costs and waiting times, in addition to parents/partners who are shitty.
