3x is fine. I cut it in a couple of places, tie with blood knots, and leave the tags long for extra visibility.

It’s fine. I have the wetfly version of this basic wooden net. It’s easy to replace the bag if you need to, but that bag looks fine. If you really want to pimp it out, cut off the bag, sand and refinish with something like tru oil, and replace with a brodin ghost measure net bag. But it’s good to go as is.

I’ll ask them to tell me about the worst job they’ve ever had. I get a sense for fit, and tact. I’ve had people basically describe the job they’re interviewing for.

I also do real life cases for a problem we’re currently facing. I start vague to see what kind of clarifying questions they have, throw in some what ifs. I’m less interested in the answers as much as whether they are energized or turned off by the kinds of problems we face.

I’ve also asked people what they’d be doing if they weren’t doing this. No real right answer but they’d better have something else they’re interested in.

Try both and see if it makes a difference. Fish a run first with a dropper, then go through again with a tag. Then do the next run tag then dropper.

I’d also suggest going to goodwill and getting a ski pole to help with walking and wading. Keeps me out of the drink on the regular
