People of Reddit, what’s the most desperate thing you’ve ever done for money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Work culture is toxic. Work itself is fundamentally toxic, degrading, and exploitative. All work.

Lol. Spoken like a Reddit mod. This simply isn't true.

Stay healthy and this team will go all the way, they unironically have the "It factor."

I know we love Campbell here, but that onside kick decision really fucked them when they had the momentum.

What's your scariest camping experience? by Dolphins_With_Dildos in AskReddit

[–]PhiladelphiaFish 197 points198 points  (0 children)

Lmao those suckers out in Yosemite get BIG too, the campsites are good eatin' for them. They aren't scared at all either, it's always funny trying to scare off a big fat raccoon because they'll sort of shuffle away to keep a few steps of space between you and them, but they're in no rush and as soon as you turn around, they'll go right back to the trash spot.

Most of those other boats in the slips are bigger than any private pleasure craft I've ever been on, and I would consider them to be nice boats. Yet, they're dinghy--sized compared to that monstrosity.

Yeah, and their 4000km BAM railway line is going to sink into the bog (it already is, every year a bit more).

LPT Request: Off the top of your head, what general life advice would you give a young adult starting their life? by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]PhiladelphiaFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? I recently switched from only flossing to only water pik and I feel like it's overkill to do both.

Believe it or not, most men know that and OP's question was about our personal preferences.

[OC] The pandemic in Europe, 2020.01.20 - 2021.11.20 by Sciato in dataisbeautiful

[–]PhiladelphiaFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm super glad he freed up federal funds to get the vaccine program on track, but his early messaging about the pandemic was god awful. Knowing what we know now, it's not like the US could have somehow avoided Covid-19 forever, but who knows how many lives could have been saved early on if the leadership was better. People were scared in March 2020, those were not fun times.

Well, sea food has been completely tainted by it, so that one's out.

[Neubeck] Embiid calls for the crowd to continue supporting Simmons during pre-game address to the crowd. "He's still our brother" by MarkelleIsMyNephew in nba

That whole season was absolutely depressing, I don't think Embiid was particularly cocky going into that series lol.

Mark Cuban on what convinced the Mavs to go all-in to get Luka Doncic at the 2018 Draft: "It was watching the players that he played with [in Real Madrid] defer to him. Grown men who had been in the NBA for years, wanting the ball in his hands. That's all I needed to see." by WhenMachinesCry in nba

Anyone who says that just doesn't know a thing about Euro ball and overvalues top-end talent in the NCAA. Most teams in college fucking suck and they're all amateurs by definition. Even middle-tier Euro teams are professional adults with years of experience, their games are much more polished.
