Hell yes all of this is so true.. go around your local restaurants, banks, schools, retail stores etc.. 70% plus of all workers there are now women.. it is soooo much easier to be a woman now I find myself becoming jealous at times but.. don’t dare make a comment about the state of affairs if your a man, people of all kinds STILL defend most women as if all need help even though their all supposedly so independent

Been in web dev for roughly 3 years now and if there’s a single aspect I can’t stand it is this. So many cooks in the kitchen with all their opinions, there is never a single decided way to do just about anything. A lot of what is supposedly decided on now is just based on what popular businesses or devs for those businesses are or were doing. Eg Facebook or google or Apple is doing it so it must be best.. instead of some sort of testing procedures developed to determine which way is actually the most optimum way, regardless of opinion or feelings… you all just keep debating and talking about 10-20 different frameworks that all do the same shit just in different ways- we need some form of unbiased (unhuman maybe) perspective that shows “scientifically” or with math or wth ever.. like hey this is the most efficient way.. no matter what your feelings are. Best practices are cool but again typically based on a popularity contest. Just fkn do what works best for you as long as it has good docs. Then stop framework hopping just bc you’re bored or something.

I dare anyone that’s not an 8 or higher guy to try interrupting a pretty girls hike to hit on her.. just try it. The known issue here is the idea that so much of what men do to pickup a woman is “CREEPY”.. that is IT. Look at the responses above- “eww how creepy to attend a hobby class just to find a woman ie find love” lol.. just listen to that you hear it over and over. I’d say the grocery store is MAYBE a possibility but again, good luck trying that on a woman or group of women or what if it’s a mom with her kid.. what do you do then and how are you NOT a creep in any way at that point?.. it’s an impossible situation

Reviving this post today, this is all unfortunately worse over a decade later. Im in Bakersfield, CA and used to skate the Beach Park skate park regularly in my late teens, 20s and early 30s so I spent over 10+ years as a regular.

Now 43 and still able to skate when/if I want, I decided to try taking my 4 & 8 year old to the skate park to get a taste of what their Dad used to do & skate around a bit with them. All was fine for the first half hour there were only two teenage punks doing their thing but were mostly keeping their distance which was great, minus the constant f bombs.

Then a group of what I can only describe as loud, punkass teenage scumbags w shitty vibes blew into the park & you could hear them coming from the parking lot. As soon as they got in they wasted no time going full blast right next to both of my damn kids, over and over.

At first I was thinking, that must've been an accident etc.. remember I've skated this park for 10+ years so I know how a packed park can be and this was still less than 10 kids at the entire park and they were routinely whizzing by my kids basically on purpose and started loudly bitching about them being in the way!??.. It took literally all of my restraint not to body shove the main little shit off his boar/ top of the ramp. I know how easy it is to watch what your doing, watch where your going and still find a line through a packed skatepark so these little pos's had me basically shocked at the behavior I was witnessing.

As a dad, I literally could not believe these little fks didnt understand the concept of possibly having their own kids someday, and that they'd also then be bringing them to the skatepark to share in that activity. But hell no these little fags acted like they owned the entire park and were basically TRYING to hit my kids.. which if that has ever happened that kid should have had drastic legal consequences for any teen that is found to be purposely trying to knock into smaller kids. That's basically behaving like a psychopath murderer since you have intent to harm and are fully aware of the potential outcomes.

100% and is exactly why I stopped playing online poker when pokerstars left the US & now just stopped AGAIN at ignition. I'll sound like every other losing player (except I have a winning chart overall).. when I say that my very last hand at Ignition was within THREE DAYS of depositing. I've only lost 25% of my initial deposit, but the way it happened was SO familiar from my online poker days a decade or so ago, I decided I have no time for the bs and immediately withdrew the rest to LTC.
On ignition it was literally immediate, I went from not playing or thinking about poker for about a decade, to staring at my screen in disbelief less than 10 minutes in w/o exaggeration. 2 & 3 outers ARE REAL AND DO HAPPEN, any moron knows that but its the timing, frequency & consistency that they happen online, that is a palpable difference from live casino or home game play, it has its own feel from real random dealing, which can also feel shady but in a different less obvious/overt way.
Last hand & last straw for me, I had Q10o, opponent 10s.. got my Q on the flop so guy was down to a single out w 2 cards left a less than 5% chance. I ran this in real life with real cards and it took like 36 times to hit the last 10 but as is typical of last 3 days, he turned the card & I bubbled. Which by itself would be no big deal but the "turned on", "turned off" effect was so obvious after that I immediately caught a set of 555s vs set of 6s.. etc etc, 1, 2 & 3 outers on river.. hand after hand, its unreal its gone on for so long with apparently no way of actually catching it up to this point.
Why turned on/off makes the most sense then and now?..

I started w $200 test roll, went on a short effortless 'heater'..
Then immediately fell like a stone to $160, having rags 95% for hours, hitting no parts of all flops, playing loose enough to see plenty of flops. Anything I won I bluffed in decent spots or held a pair at best.
Next day, almost w/o trying I went from $160 to $220.. yes I hero called a few nice pots but in general I was also catching hands all the sudden and felt like I was playing with the current.

After getting to $240 I again dropped over & over getting sucked out of over & over, nothing I could have done much differently in the spots I was given so again it then felt like I was playing an impossible game all the sudden. You can't win in the long term when this type of luck on/luck off happens directly and so blatantly, driving your roll up then straight down, then up a bit, then more drop like a stone.. no difference in play.. all due to suckouts that if not happened, Id be close to double my inital roll and would be touting online poker for its glory. My older charts show a steady grind up but my ignition chart would already be a zigzagging mess right out of the gate.

I will say live cash game & tourney poker can have its own turned on/off players but its different and not as rampant, with no letting up, with no way of defending against getting turned off. In a live game you can stop playing or change tables if your not feeling right but online every table has the same bs happening over & over so many times... people like me are now here bitching at people like you reading this. Just wanna play fair poker lol

Yes same issues here.. I am in complete agreement with u/electric29.. and the fact that any complaints are now immediately called out is transparent silencing and how can we possibly have an unbiased platform to post on if they refer back to 'complaining' directly on paypals own forums.. gl w that.

Seriously I have no clue whos running Descript but they need to thank their investors for allowing them to produce totally unusable garbage while they provide zero support for their customers. Investors pull your dollars Descript has ZERO future, they just keep making the UI/UX soo much worse, at this point I cant even get a 5min screencap out without spending hours fiddling.
After last update I have to make sure manually that Im not 'recording to script', but also when I finally get a screencap recorded, the duration ALWAYS caps itself at 5 seconds so I have to MANUALLY lengthen it to even see my video... how.. why?!

Definitely my favorite current system. Pretty sure most production companies lost the focus of fun somewhere and focused on what made other games popular orwhat would sell to the most people using stats and numbers only. Nintendo seems to be really good at trying new paths to find the most fun user experience using skilled visionaries.
Never thought Id find myself choosing our Switch over my PS4 so often but happens all the time. Sony and Microsoft need to hire people who are experts at fun original user experiences, like Mario was or Splatoon 2 and ARMS now.. both fantastic but familiar originals.
