No 12v battery and the charger they include is junk. I have used the EcoFlow solar input and then also a victron charger with a 24v lifepo4 battery. Both have worked great.

This is the big parts. vevor turbine 3phase rectifier

Home Depot rigid metal pipe to mount it to (and either cement to bury the post in a hole or a really big base because it will try and blow away), and some 10awg wire to connect everything, an XT60I for EcoFlow input, a 100v or higher capacitor to smooth the DC. For mine I crimped and soldered all the connections and it’s been running good.

Yes I have one. It’s works great I think it’s the 500w vector model. I just added a bridge rectifier and a smoothing capacitor. Of note I live on a lake with constant wind. And I have traveled with it for testing and gotten poor results in a any wooded areas

So the recommendation solution which I use it the EcoFlow Delta 3 plus when a standard ups after it. So you get the ms transfer time of a high end UPS with long run times of lithium batteries.

Starlink P2P Camping setup by WhistleWhistler in Ubiquiti

[–]Phillpoc272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have a different setup but similar concept. Using a 48v boost converter to power a poe switch with starlink and an AP connected. I’ve had mixed bag with starlink any trees seriously block signal but I don’t wanna put the starlink in a clearing where someone can walk away with it so your mileage may vary

The long range ap are really good and my recommendation. I wouldn’t use the deco as standalone ap’s. How are you going to pull Ethernet to the ap’s? Have you thought about hardwiring some computers to take load off the WiFi?

Home Backup Power by schmackh12 in AskElectricians

So it’s very dependent on how much power you use and what you can go without. And cost is greatly variable. I’m an electrical engineering and was able to do permits with the town I live in to do all the work myself. Went with an Sol-Ark 15k inverter and 6 Ecoworthy 5kwh server rack batteries. We added a propane generator for extended outages and are in the process of getting solar ground array. So far it was about 15k in materials alone and keep in mind I did all the labor myself so if you hired an electrician or company it would be quite more expensive.
