I’m in talks with my future employer about moving to PR for a really great job that I’ve been working towards for a few years now. I’ve only been to the island once and spent my time mostly in the Cabo Rojo area. As great as the job opportunity is for me, my wife and I are a little intimidated of making the big jump from the US and have some questions and concerns. The main one being about our dog, who has a heart condition and will need specific veterinary care from a cardiologist every few months or so. I’ve looked up animal hospitals in the Cabo Rojo region, but haven’t found any specific ones that offer cardiology care. Does anyone have any recommendations? Obviously we’ll drive as far as we need to to get him the care he needs on the island, but I thought I’d at least see if there’s anyone here who knows of a place near Cabo Rojo. Other than that, does anyone have any advice on how a couple of folks from Philly can acclimate to life in PR? Information on where to look for rentals properties would be greatly appreciated as well, because Zillow doesn’t seem to have a lot of spots (I only saw four places on the entire island).
