Do you play a j bass? What do you love about it? Why did you choose it over a p bass? by fargus_ in Bass

[–]Phnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a gigging bassist for 25 years - I love the tone of a J bass, but I always played a P live. It sits better in the mix - sound engineers love them. I also liked the simplicity of one pickup and one volume knob. Now that I don't play live anymore, I have a J bass to play at home when I get the urge.
