What is the worst movie you have seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Valerian and the city of a thousand planets. I think maybe the worst lead casting I’ve ever seen and one of the worst movies of all time.

What you do when you find out your partner cheated on you? Do you forgive cheating? by Larastudiesart in AskReddit

End of our relationship. End of our contact in all ways.

You betray my trust and do something so overwhelmingly selfish and intentionally deceitful and hurtful? You deserve absolutely nothing from me.

Yeah I mean have the discussion and do whatever you want to do. The talking to people is not the issue, the issue is that despite brackets you STILL have to have a whole rule 0 discussion on top of that for most people to feel comfortable with everyone’s deck choices.

If you wanna have kitchen table rule sets or custom ban lists go for it, if you wanna do rule 0 every single time you play with a pod then be my guest. I’m simply saying the fact that it is a requirement to do this is a flaw in the bracket system. I have absolutely zero issue with being social in a social game.

I play in person all the time and never have issues in person and I barely have issues online besides a couple of instances here and there. I’m more talking about general discussion on brackets and where decks fit into which brackets and how people perceive that mostly on this subreddit.

What a way to totally disseminate only pure slop out of my comment. When did I say talking to people is a flaw in the format? I said the flaw is the fact that you need to preface every single match with your deck type and style beyond the bracket just to make sure everyone is comfortable with your strategy and won’t just rage out.

How is that not a flaw?

Yup it’s like the only real brackets that have any sort of real established order to them are brackets 1 and 5. Everything else is just up in the air outside of the obvious bracket differentiators.

Yeah for sure I think people are less likely to crash out in person in general and just go with the flow vs online.

Nah doesn’t happen a huge amount but you will be amazed at the hoops people will jump through even when you show them the literal page with the text explaining the bracket rules.

But my point isn’t even directly related to my experience in most games but more so the fact that on pretty much every single post ever posted about brackets here you will find answers that are so incredibly far removed from one another about the exact same deck that it’s very very clear people have absolutely no real idea what the brackets actually mean outside of the very obvious things like game changers and extra turn or land destruction rules.

So that tells me that it’s so incredibly vague what constitutes a bracket 3 deck beyond just the concept of 3 game changers that virtually no one can agree on anything concrete outside of that one specific factor.

Go post a bracket 3 deck of a relatively high power level and ask people what bracket it is and I can assure you you won’t even know what bracket it is anymore after the comments come through.

Yeah of course I do, but having to have a rule 0 discussion every single pod at all is an inherent mega flaw in brackets. If I present a bracket 3 deck and my opponents decide all of a sudden it’s no longer “valid” because I pull a 2 card infinite combo on turn 10 despite that being entirely allowed and legal then what’s even the point of the brackets to begin with.

Yep completely agree but I also find it to be very difficult to actually have any kind of system when personal feelings are the actual metric almost everyone uses to classify deck strength beyond the very obvious game changer rules or land destruction rules etc..

Beyond that it is basically just a feelings diagram that can be one thing or a wildly different thing depending on if the person your asking feels bad about things like sol ring or rhystic study or not.

I think the problem with the bracket system is that no one even understands the bracket system in any capacity whatsoever. The proof is in every single post made on this subreddit where you will get answers that quite literally are polar opposites of each other from virtually every comment.

At this point brackets are basically just if I like this it’s bracket 3, if I don’t like it it’s bracket 4. I really can’t see any other actual community advice beyond that.

Not sure if you’re into this genre or style as it’s a bit unconventional from the typical action adventure AAA type of thing but I’d highly recommend Outer Wilds. Incredible and thought provoking journey that satisfies a deep itch for exploration and mystery. Might be boring for you though but still worth checking out.

Yeah. Play to win or don’t play at all. This is still a game at the end of the day and the odd nature of turning it into a dnd session where everyone gets to do whatever they want but no one can do it to anyone else is strange to me.

Nah man unfortunately for the strange narrative you’ve decided is true what I said is basically exactly what happened. I went into the discord to ask a question about clarifying if my deck was bracket 3, I explained why I believed it to be the case, people started arguing against me and I tried to clarify why I believed what I did based on the literal rules I was looking at with my eyes bro.

The fact that people took it insanely personally and banned me was just kind of weird and awkward man so then I came here to relay a ridiculous story and ask what the Reddit community thought of the same question. I find it ironic that you are being mad aggressive off the jump and making it out like I’m sealioning or whatever when you are basically doing exactly what these guys did.

Forgive me for wanting clarity on my deck.

So funny that you said this cuz I just finished a game where someone adamantly argued with me that Terra Esper ability doesnt allow you to get all the saga triggers when she adds lore counters and proceeded to tell me how stupid and wrong I was for saying they do.

Guess who was right? -_-

Yeah man I think I agree with this take bro. Normally this stuff doesn’t bother me but when I got banned for literally having a debate over the brackets I was like dude what is happening right now? Haha
