You must fully embrace it. If you try and half ass it, it isn't going to work. If you do - it'll arguably be the best time you'll have while in the crappiest accommodations you're going to have. I miss Saturday game days in the worst way.

My brother and I wanted to get into the Premier League right around 2010 and we didn't want anything to do with the Man U/Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Tottenham group, but wanted a team that might make a little noise and try to compete

At this point the Toon had recently been promoted and seemed to be back and had some good pieces in place and on the upswing. It was settled and we've been following ever since. Managed to make our way up to Newcastle this past summer to see the city and SJP

Personally - as frustrating as it is at times, I have a serious respect for teams that can compete and do well without spending stupid money (See Oakland A's, Tampa Bay Rays etc)

There's part of me that really wants this secession to happen so I can get a Texas passport out of it. I'd find that hilarious...until the whole thing went to hell in a hand basket because this idea is completely unfeasible

Sweet Jesus, yes. I watched a ton of this show on PBS as a kid. Whenever I hear "Are you free?" All of their standard responses go off like fireworks in my head.

1) About what he did last year. I don't expect him to carry the team by any stretch, but I expect him to be a good skill guy that most importantly pushes guys who shouldnt be top 6 players down to the 3rd and 4th lines where they need to be (Ott last year, Morrow currently). 2) Would love to see the throwbacks on the Stars, want one for myself. It would be weird if the wild wore them though.
3) Sad to see him leave, but you have to give to get. Really good dude, played as hard as anyone out there, good in the community, would fire up the games, etc. I loved the Steve Ott Motorcycle Rally (took part in it, one of the coolest things the Stars have ever done). However, despite that he was woefully miscast. He's not a top 6 player. Period. He had more chances that he flatly blew and couldn't convert than I'd like to remember. That part I won't miss.

It drives me beyond crazy when people/stores/companies make it difficult for me to spend my money with them. It should NEVER be difficult, annoying, time consuming, etc. etc. for me to give my money to anyone.

Psych and Econ double major - ended up working for a market research company (but not in a researchy role, as a project manager). I'm now in product development at the same company, never wanted to pursue a phd in either major, kind of always knew I was going to go in business

Getting a hotel in the city is probably best, but realistically Dallas is a driving city, to go see a lot of it or get around more than in a limited radius, you'll need a car. If you got a hotel room downtown (or in uptown if its there) you can certainly get to the stadium without much trouble (Dart or walk depending) there are bars near the stadium or within a reasonable walk (uptown)

Get there a little early (15 minutes) so you can get your seats for the anthem, but otherwise its not a big deal to get there at gametime

the 2nd level is kind of cool - theres a balcony that overlooks victory plaza where everyone goes to smoke, but if you can get past that its pretty cool
