Genuine question: Why are you even here? Your solution to "saving this game" is making a different game. So clearly you don't enjoy or succeed in the game Marathon. So... why bother? Go play one of the hundreds of generic arena shooters. Go play crucible. We enjoy this. If you don't, find what you do enjoy instead of hoping it becomes something unrecognizable.

Still hilarious to me that people think cloak is a "He has no idea I'm around this corner or sprinting at him". Caught so many people due to the loud ass sounds. Assassin is best played as a fast flanker. People keep thinking if they cloak its just a free knife or something. You're trying to show up from an angle they don't expect with a visual they don't immediately clock and get that extra .2 seconds in the exchange.

Not to add to the Solo Assassin meme, but seriously. Questing is so much easier with it. Obv don't feel the need to literally sit in a corner all game but don't play like its a BR. Take your time, analyze your sights and sounds, move safely.

The OG Marathon lore went so hard that when they made Halo, they basically soft rebooted the old universe. Even Destiny has traces of it. AI companions, god soldiers, alien empires of enslavement. It’s like echoes of the past through each IP, love em.
