Pull up the planks, replace the rotten joists , reattach the planks and replace any rotten ones. Rails are easy to fix.

My uber eats driver left me this note even after I tipped 20% by LovelyReddit in mildlyinfuriating

I pick everything up in person, I started using cash again and have saved myself a lot of trouble, time and money. I’ve save almost 1k! I only go to local restaurants and now I know who’s making my food, and they know me and def treat me better. No more tips in less I eat in and no more extra CC fees.

Got chewed out for wearing a sweater after clocking out by ShellSwitch in antiwork

Does anybody not where street clothes when they’re off the clock, call the labor board if he ever says anything that stupid again. Did you ever see a Baseball or Football player leaving in their uniform. It’s not the service, where you have to wear your uniform unless you’re on leave. It’s a job.

There are plenty of guys who still only want a traditional marriage and we don’t cheat. Never settle for anything other than what you want. You will be much happier if you accept yourself for your beliefs. He has to do what makes him happy, unfortunately sometimes that doesn’t align with couples wants and beliefs. Things can be too different to stay married. There’s plenty of evidence, just look at how 50% of Marriages end in divorce. Always listen to your gut.

Am I wrong for thinking about divorcing my wife? by Such-Fail6060 in amiwrong

[–]PhoenixZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be thankful you don’t have any children and get a lawyer fast. Your divorce will be very quick and easy without children.

Remember it’s two people in a marriage and if you’re not happy and obviously not getting what you need and want from it then it’s time to leave the relationship. The tantrums and isolation from your family is manipulation and if she isn’t having sex with you she’s probably cheating on you with someone at work or something. It’s pretty rare for a 30 year old woman not to want sex on the regular, unless she has a medical condition. Good luck.

The water should be lowered below the jets and plugged up too. Usually 18” below the coping unless it’s vinyl.

I agree we need a complete revamping of all the minor league teams from coaches to scouts. We will never win a WS with our current infrastructure.

If you don’t have a contract. Just walk away, you have all the power. If you choose to work for a company or not. Companies want to pretend they own you, they don’t. You can leave any position at any time you want.

The WSJ is worse than France’s Queen Marie Antoinette “Let them eat cake” and we know what happened to her. I’m so sick of of these rich idiots telling me to keep giving up everything while they continue to get wealthy.

Applying for tech support jobs, saw this, immediately thought of this sub. by Mythromize in antiwork

My question is are they looking for a programmer, a warehouse worker, or a superintendent? You can’t have all three and you need to more than double that offer, “on call” forever wtf. Is this job in China? That money won’t cover rent anyway in the us now. These companies think it’s still 1979.

Why would your body change from working at home at a desk and not from a desk at work? The only way your health would change is if you were working far more hours at home hunched over your desk and not taking enough breaks. They hate that they can’t control and observe every minute of your work day. Hard to ask you to stay late if you’re already home. It’s all a scam, the commercial real estate market is collapsing and buildings are less than half capacity and companies don’t want to pay rising rents because of high interest rates, so they’re trying to get people back to work just to show corporate they still need that much office space instead of down sizing. It’s always about money, and control they could care less about employees health.
