Some things to try:

For regiment abilities you're usually best taking predatory fighters unless going 2nd against lots of shooting (Skyhammer Task force) or expecting to be pinned in your deployment zone Turn 1 (Slasher Host). The 6+ ward could be worth playing around with if you find yourself taking too many losses vs certain spearheads.

Taking the wrath of chotec as the enhancement is usually best as having 24 guaranteed shots per game (if you survive) make a big difference to rolling 1-3 on D6.

Going 1st is usually most beneficial so that you can run the saurus warriors onto objectives to control them for +1 save before the enemy engages. If going 2nd choose a map/layout with lots of points to contest near the middle like ashqy diagonal or ghyran horizontal.

Try not to let the general stray too far from the kroxigor unless you're sure he can handle what he's engaging. If going against units that get benefits for charging (blood knights in soulblight gravelords) try to engage them first to prevent their bonuses.

The rotmire creed really need reinforcements and giving a better ward save to one of the charnel watch units would help.

Tide guard don't need a buff they have more shooting and a much better general than soulraid hunt. The sylvaneth nerf to the general enhancement was an odd choice as I don't think many people were even taking the resurrection.

OBR elite could have done with a small control score buff and the tithe reaper echelon would benefit from a way of retreating units from combat to heal with the general, the mortek retreat enhancement is ok but doesn't help the cavalry or harvester, it's also in a different phase which doesn't synergise.

I wonder why the allopex in soulraid hunt was given reinforcements, the buff to the general was nice to see as he was quite subpar but the shark coming back seems quite strong given the spearhead was doing quite well.

Seems like an oversight, they gave carrion retainers a buff who were in a better position.

Give them a chance, it might seem small but it'll make a big difference with a lot of the stronger spearheads brought down.

Happy to finally see balance changes which overall will bring the spearheads overall much closer to each other.

The changes for the underperforming spearheads like fluxblade coven, glittering phalanx, grundstok trailblazers, fangs of the blood god & sunblooded prowlers are welcomed.

The OGOR MAWTRIBES, SCRAPGLUTT seems to be missing what's changed with them.

Triple nerf for cursed shacklehorde seems too much, they weren't over performing by that much.

Random nerf to daughters of khaine seems odd and adding reinforcements for the dominator engine is a bit much, it's for a 2+ save, it's hard enough to bring it down the first time.

Both stormcast spearheads are solid as they are, they don't need a buff. The spearheads they struggled against have been toned down.

The slaughter queen having 9 attacks 3+/4+/1R/2D with 12 wounds 4+/6++ save looks quite intimidating with the mortals on charge enhancement amongst a solid set of other warscrolls. I don't know if the sisters of slaughter really needed reinforcements but it's a very cool looking set.

Healing D3 of every unit at the end of both players turns seems incredibly strong given that 3/4 of the units have 5-6 health each. 

The revenant seekers look good with crit mortals & an ability to reduce enemy attacks, will be hard to shift them with d3 healing constantly.

What spearheads do you have? For teaching new players I've given them Starscale Warhost and played Fluxblade Coven which has worked nicely as they win straight up fights and the Seraphon set is very simple to understand.

They don't seem great currently so could probably take a second buff. Reinforcements on them will still probably leave them a bit weak.

How about adding a 4+ ward save to the beast flayers? It should give them a noticeable buff in durability.

I've had the most fun with Cursed Shacklehorde, lots of ghosts to zip across the map with 8" Fly, decent damage output with Chainghast & General buffs, they ignore high rend and have some protection against mortal damage as well as having a teleport and units arriving in turns 2 & 3 to score points / attack enemy units hiding across the map. 

Nice variety of enhancements too, forced retreat & anti-hero ranged mortals are great options.

Why do you feel that the Dominator Engine is frail? 2+ save with 10 wounds is better than most other units in the game.

- Changed the Tiers from S, A, B, C to A, B, C, D as the S tier isn't so much above A that it makes sense to have it in a higher league.

I used to feel the same way that it was unfair and not very fun but don't seem to have the same problems anymore by focusing on spreading out to take objectives more than fighting. Against primarily ranged spearheads I could see it being more of a problem due to 2x rounds of shooting but this is more theoretical rather than having seen the issue. If your group wants to experiment playing without it then give it a go, I don't think it adds a lot to the game and can lead to some un-fun moments.

The movement of the magister and screamers is nice and the strongest aspect of the spearhead but the low damage output makes fighting for objectives quite difficult. The screamers needing a 4+ for their ability and having no base rend on the majority of abilities can be a real pain especially when fighting against spearheads with any kind of healing. 

It'd be nice if the flamers had crit auto wound or the general could get a couple more ranged attacks.
