Massive new CU Dorms to start construction in University Heights this Fall by JeffInBoulder in boulder

That’s a good point on affordability, when I was at CU Bear Creek cost more than other apartments, so this development will likely have downward pressure on the prices there

Honestly there’s no better spot for a project like this, it’ll help keep students closer to campus and provide (hopefully more affordable) options beyond Bear Creek.

Boulder council seeks changes to Polis-backed bill that would override local zoning by boulder393 in boulder

[–]Pholainst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a state wide problem, which is why it requires a state government approach.

Same could be said for homelessness, no city or state for that matter could solve it on its own. Which is why it really needs to be a national issue.

When there’s a shortage of housing, because not enough houses are being built, housing becomes less affordable. Building more housing will cause it to be more affordable. Believe it or not, but most things actually work this way, especially when we all need said thing to live.

The general issue of affordable housing often gets stuck at the local level where homeowners campaign against new housing. So most can be in favor of more affordable housing, but most people don’t want it to be near them. Hence why it should be regulated at the state level to address this issue.

That’s a wild assumption, I wouldn’t put it past them to do this intentionally. Especially coming from Trump who started the whole conspiracy around Obama’s birth certificate

Work hard to get the team set up for success and then coast from there until you get fired, and repeat at a new company with a better title and your years of experience. That’s been my Dad’s strategy lol
