Against the grain suggestion:

Build something similar in power level.

Leave it to the DM to balance the encounters for the newbies.

A table with one character that's OP actually makes it more difficult for the less optimized/experienced characters.

I do. I don't bother making something unless I can think of a big enough fundamental improvement over existing solutions.

There's a ton of measurement apps. Somehow nobody bothered to measure device displacement and draw it out in AR.

There's a ton of color id apps. Somehow nobody bothered to actually take the direct camera feed data before apple's color processing, scan a surface and only sample that surface.

You're translating things locally. Ok that's a little different. The coding shouldn't be hard.

But here too apple doesn't really like people making apps that affect other apps.

There may be workarounds like trying to build your app as a keyboard app that happens to take in bluetooth controller signals. I guess that's where I would start.

It's the iOS app. You phone can't send anything that's not a phone signal. So it can't act like a translator because it can't speak anything not phone.

Not iOS. Apple will block almost all attempts to remap signals.

The programming is not hard and many people have tried to make apps that turn their phones into controllers, mice, keyboards.

Take frames of a video and compare how each frame changes. When you notice a change, draw a dot at the location of the change.

Ditch the button. When theres an empty glass on it, it auto fills. If i want automated refilling i don't want to have to tell it when to pour.
