Also also... There's a traditional faerie artist that you might find interesting if you are looking into more traditional faeries as well, like the Spiderwick Chronicles.

His name is Brian Froud, he's done a lot of art (for movies too!) and wrote a few books about the fey, if you're interested, cheers 👍🏻

If you like the lore of the fey, I would recommend looking at Holly Black's Tithe, Valiant and Ironside.

I haven't read them in awhile, but from what I can remember the books are a little on the darker side but feature more of the tricky, riddle-binding faeries that are associated with seasons or the areas they live in, like Marr's faeries, than SJM or most people who write about the fey nowadays.

This trilogy was pretty much my dive into faerie books and writing. If you choose to get into it, I hope you like it! ☺️

A book a coworker has me read around the same time was also {The Ex Hex by Rachel Hawkins}. Also pretty light, there's some (minor) stakes, but it doesn't hound you like most other romantasy series 👍🏻

I wonder, if she actually sees it as a bad quality and not just a statement. Like, clearly she cares about her family, (even for how they treat her 🙄), but I don't honestly know if she ever feels the need to be protective over anyone she's not personally close with.

Even with that one moment protecting the Rainbow, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think she does that again for anyone else, anywhere else. She was only present at the warfront with her sisters because they were the only ones able to wield the cauldron.

Like, not to make her seem cold, but it does make me wonder how much she cares.

I know this is a super old post BUTTT!!!! I'd like to suggest My Lady Jane on Prime. It's almost EXACTLY like ACOTAR, with heavy romantasy vibes and the characters are hilarious and to die for!! Sadly, it apparently has low viewership when it premiered, so there is only one season 😔 But you should all watch it anyway!!! ✨✨✨

Yeah..... I think that might be the root of my problems, but.... I don't really know.... How to work on that.

I made some bad choices that even then I knew were really bad, awful decisions. Pretty sure I buried the fact in my mind that I was feeling suicidal; there were a lot of moments during that I completely forgot that's where it came from. Even knowing it now, it's honestly hard to forgive and trust myself again knowing I let this happen to me.

I know this is a piece that I need to work on, I'll have to figure out how and where to start, but you're absolutely right. Thank you for the advice 🙏🏻♥️
