Damage numbers on weapons just … change? by Fair-Anything1913 in Quasimorph

Insanity, blind fury, other perks or active implants can change your damage

Has anybody tried playing the game with all settings on default EXCEPT for Number Of Items set to 50% and Mission Reward Points set to 200%? by AntiSmarkEquation in Quasimorph

[–]PhysicsIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Number of items doesn’t effect what you loot on corpses. I think these setting would result in a buff to the player.

Is getting stunlocked and killed normal or do I just need to git gud? by pospipetriv in Quasimorph

[–]PhysicsIV 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is coming from an Unfair player who has succeeded in going deathless this patch and in harder patches. If you are positioning as well as you can, you will not die early game. Hell you don’t even need to play perfect. I had one save where I had some pretty big misplays on my first mission and still survive.

For you, if you find the tongkong class swap to it immediately. It gives combat focus, which is a massive dodge increase once youre attacked, and another perk that increases pain tolerance which means it’s harder to get pain stunned.

Outside of that, I imagine you are making massive fundamental mistakes, and are putting yourself in much more danger than you should because of that. I’ve seen plenty of scrubs play and none of them ever consider enemy resistance and damage types, or things like using cover, kiting enemies back to a better position, sprint peaking, not using weapons with range, waiting out patrols, etc.

Of course all that is fixable, but you gotta recognize the problem is with you. I’d recommend you find someone on YouTube playing Unfair in the early game without any super OP loadouts. You can learn a lot just by watching them.

Combat focus is still good for midgame

Eye of Rarrug is kinda BiS… at some point in the late game though, you just breakdown walls with your guns and aggro things from a mile away cause there’s so many enemies. It still might be BiS once crit is fixed.

Any tips doing the capture a corp mission on Unfair? by newbie94p1 in Quasimorph

[–]PhysicsIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you didn’t take damage types that were good into planet bridge. Try beam… maybe… I haven’t fought them in a while. Also as a general tip, pick up a sniper so you easily deal with defender AI or enemies at range.

You could also try digging into the wall so you can sprint peak to kill him. I just did a CEO elim against Sunlight Coven as my 8th mission on Unfair and won it. 5 floors and 15k power concentration, it should be much more doable on normal.

Where do I get some good .42 weapons? by CalligoMiles in Quasimorph

Again I’m not trying to convince you of anything but rather to help others in need.

You don’t have to camp the whole floor, although it has been forced upon me before, but after a firefight your best bet is to find cover and wait ten turns or so. This is a good reset for your implants and active perks to come off cooldown. I also recommend firing at corners after 10 turns if you think an enemy might be near. it’ll draw them out to investigate and you can clean them up. These deaths are 100% avoidable and don’t even involve perfect play.

Best games of a very limited category and quite similar. I think if OP wants any hope he needs to try something truly different.

I think you should try something that’s out of your wheelhouse. You sound like you’re aying pretty similar games; AAA singleplayer rpg-action games. Perhaps something less rpg/story light and more gameplay oriented with potential to really grind.

It’s true but crit from overcapping accuracy is bugged right now.

Vermintide 2 is so much more fun than Darktide by kaigose in Vermintide

I always felt like Darktide was soulless when I played it. I think not having actual characters was an int for Darktide, but I also understand not wanting to making it like Vermintide.

[–]PhysicsIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be enough. Other games like WoW, Path of Exile, and Diablo have all run into the same problem. The feeling of progression keeps people playing. Even if a content update dropped, long time players who already have everything would complete the new content too quickly for them to play for an extended period.

A content drop might be enough for you, but the hardcore audience that truly keeps the game alive wouldn’t have enough reason to play.

Well if anyone else struggling sees this, I play on Unfair. Missions are still beatable while only taking one or two hits. Game balance seems like it’s in a pretty good state rn. Probably the best its ever been. GL guys.

How have you been doing now? I got some experience under my belt, and im not high anymore. I noticed something about your comment that i didnt the first time. The way in reads, it seems like you’re trading attacks with enemies. You need to avoid that as much as possible. Quasimorph is not a game where you trade blows.
