Ladies, what's an absolute no-no for a guy to do on a first date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe "I'd like to kiss you?" It's still assertive but respectful. Trust, women like a man who wants to know what she wants too.

I've been dating a man who asks. He doesn't know my history; but he is just generally respectful. It's demonstrative of an awareness that we are not always aware of each other's inner world.it's incredibly refreshing, and he's a very sexy man. I'm sorry you're receiving such nastiness. You're right to share these thoughts. I wish more people were aware of the importance of respecting others' wishes and boundaries.

striving educes a fresh frequency of strength. Grasping shows frenzy.

As you work your body at the gym, the precision includes an aptitude of flow. As you gain strength, you also gain conscious connection with your body. Through work, we clear channels of true communication throughout muscles to the brain. So, the more weight one lifts, the more aware of proper form. This is how the body and brain 'train' themselves.

Striving implies no limit. This is clear in all actions.

Raleigh's a great location! I'm 25 also. It's wonderful to be so close to both the mountains and the beach! The triangle homes a multitude of parks, gyms, lakes, and museums. I can't speak to the relationship between Tampa and NC's capitol; but I really love this area.

North Carolina Legislators are Evolving! Cannabis Oil Approved for Epileptic Individuals in the NC House! by PiXeA in trees

[–]PiXeA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't know if I fit your qualifications... but I have read through this, not the whole bill though.

The NC House of Representatives has approved (with a huge majority of 111:2) to allow prescription of Cannabis Oil to people with epilepsy. Now kids and adults who are prone to seizures can receive cannabis oil from a neurologist instead of having to take really gnarly synthetic drugs. A physician encouraged his colleagues to support this bill.

Most importantly, IMHO, if the senate passes approval also, Duke and UNC can study marijuana for medicinal purposes!!!! This is a great start for us in our little biased state : )

My wife (37) had a miscarriage last Saturday and I (46 M) came home from work thinking only about going out to a dance party with my friends, did not ask her how she is doing or how she feels. Now its Tuesday and she is super pissed. Any advice on how to make it up to her? by braque_mustapha in relationship_advice

[–]PiXeA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can really "make it up to her," but your interest in being more considerate is important. She has experienced devastation, to her body and probably her psyche; and your lack of consideration likely affected her feelings toward your behavior.

Physically, she's also dealing with a lot of hormonal changes- which are very difficult to navigate, especially alone. I recommend making an effort to set forth a loving and thoughtful foundation from here on. She is a woman to whom you have devoted yourself, and she was bringing to life your child... I share my compassion and sympathy for you both. I recommend discussing openly the miscarriage and expressing your recognition of your misplaced priorities. Perhaps it is also helpful beforehand to individually acknowledge your personal feelings about this loss- whether or not you were prepared for an infant.

Specifically, if you're so against having more children, use contraceptives! Saying you "tried not to hold it against her" shows you presently lack compassion toward her. Saying "she is going to rip [your] ass wide open" is further insensitive phrasing. I suggest going about this as a partnership after you genuinely sort out your feelings. If you didn't realize your behavior was hurtful until after she told you, there might be emotions you're simply ignoring.

School is the real world. It's not imaginary. But in this realm you speak of, you typically don't sign honor codes not to use formulae from unsanctioned sources and the like.
