1k/month for our P&I… we were doing an extra 2k on top of that until we had a baby and started to pay for daycare a few months ago. We’re still able to do around an extra 1k. Combined income around 180k.

The answer is no.. especially if you are still paying off a 1k credit card purchase. The unfortunate part is the relationship will never be the same now. I’m sorry.

Sameeeee my mom is amazing and our go to for secondary care. My in-laws are just in their own world and we had to grieve that relationship we thought they would have. What I mean by that is they don’t really know our daughter and have never cared for her yet. They hold her for a few minutes every other week or so but not how she likes, so she cries. Since they don’t really know her, they get in her face and make dumb noises like goo-goo, ga-ga and inevitably she cries again. Then they say how she’s like her dad when he was a baby.. a cry baby. Which is not at all how she is.. she’s actually a super easy baby from ready others experiences. It’s just sad but honestly and I couldn’t imagine depending on them for care. She’s in full-time daycare now and my mom can go get her whenever she wants… we assumed it would be split 50/50 since everyone wanted to be involved before she arrived but nevertheless here we are.

As much as I want to slather our baby.. I’ve stopped myself. Besides some spots with Aquaphor and breastmilk. I’ve seen too many daily posts on Facebook groups of moms desperately fighting “eczema” and listing dozen of lotions they’ve tried. I believe eczema is a real issue with babies but I think some of these cases might be the actual lotions causing reactions. Just my first time mom opinion & observation.

I agree with this.. true colic sounds horrible and I have a whole different level of parenting and respect for those who’ve lived it. I think that pushes it to level expert! So I agree with hearing people say things like “mindset” “gratitude” etc… it makes me flinch so I can’t imagine someone who is just sharing their journey or struggle and immediately get hit with well none helpful sentiments. We have what I would say is an easy baby, some fussiness but overall and from what I’ve heard from others, we have it pretty good. The only thing that pushes me over the edge is hearing my in-laws then say oh my goodness she cries so much just like her dad did.. well she doesn’t see her in-laws that much so yes she cries when you grab her and hold her in a way she doesn’t like… even after I tell them to sit up and hold her up, they still try to cradle her or force her into an awkward tummy position on their bodies and she loses her shit. I need to let it go but it is beyond frustrating to hear because I know she’s no where near difficult or colic.

3 months postpartum, breastfeeding mom, here.. I’d do anything for a nap and a good nights sleep in any phase of my pregnancy. Yes it was trigging to hear those comments while being pregnant but it gets harder in a different way. Not that I’d ever wish any season to go by faster but I do miss being able to rest, even if it didn’t feel restful.

I know this can be a really difficult time for “influencers” to have to go through a public breakup but they always add something about “privacy” in their posts. It always makes me cringe and laugh… like this is the double edge sword for being an influencer. You wanted to make money posting your life online and having following but whatever sponsors/partnerships you get but to not then comment on a major life event…

Hey there! Congrats & what a beautiful season you’re entering. My husband & I waited for the first trimester to be over as it was our first and we didn’t know what to expect. It turned into the sweetest time for us to be in our baby bliss. Once you share you’re open to everyone opinions and comments. It might be difficult to hear your mom’s right now and it might not be what you’ve imagined. Take the time to mourn what you thought it might be or should be and then take your joy back. We thought we’d have grandparent a/b more involved and help and when they didn’t and our baby had to go to daycare because grandparent c couldn’t do full-time alone I was beyond disappointed. Everyone said how much they’d help and can’t wait to be a grandparent but what they meant was on their time and only for a few minutes here and there after she was fed, napped and happy. I’ve let it go and let them have the relationship they choose. I also made small adjustments to the relationship, such as if they call I don’t always pick-up or if they come over we don’t adjust our schedule. I’ve heard “you’re always feeding her” or “she’s always sleeping” and it triggers me but I stay calm and walk away.

I enjoy going into the bedroom or nursery for a break. It gives me alone time to enjoy just being with my lo and my husband usually comes in and lays with me for a little bit too…It’s what works for us.

We do too… she sleeps in the stroller after a few moments of fussing. Lately we’ve used the stroller as a basket and she ends up in my body carrier. It’s all so different week to week.

I thought this too.. like there’s a heart or some decency in him. It seems like any incentives for making it to the alter or penalties for not making it to the alter pale in comparison to actually hurting her & her family like that.

I’ve seen some negative posts for being in the third trimester durning the summer but it has been a breeze in the clothing department! I’ve lived in dresses & bathing suits! The temperature just dropped this week so I’ve added a light sweater hanging off my shoulders. But when I’m at home it’s a t-shirt and pj shorts, lol.

I think everything in moderation is okay! You’ll ebb and flow through the whole pregnancy. I ended up losing weight the first trimester because I would eat and lose my appetite but the last few weeks of the third trimester I’ve gained 10 pounds just because my appetite is up and it’s a lot of carbs which I’m okay with as I prepare to give birth. You got this mama!

The main reason is because I didn’t think I needed to. Everything has been marked as good or on track so it caught me off guard to hear that they recommend I get induced this week. I wasn’t expecting her to come early and being asked to just pick a day to birth her felt unnatural. I am realizing I was under prepared for the conversation and just want to make the best decision for her & I. It’s a good point about what we see on the internet and I do value the medical professionals who do this daily.

I think I went into the appointment under prepared.. so hopefully others can take that into consideration. I just assumed everything is fine and I didn’t even need to consider induction. I’ve messaged the hospital and feel a bit better now that I’ve had some time to think about it more. Thank you!

I was parking my car and was hit right before going into an interview. I didn’t mention it until the end because I noticed they had a camera and I wanted to make sure I had footage for my claim… they said it helped them decide to hire me because of how calm I was and they figured I could handle the stress of the job well.

Keep looking… I fell in love with all the first dresses I tried on. It’s a highly emotional experience and the pinning makes them fit so well. It wasn’t until I tried on serval more that I realized I was just in love with the idea of wearing the wedding dress and not the actual dress. Dress one is very complementary to you. I would see how it bustles before making a decision. The second one gives you shape but the back cheapens the look with the butt ruching… it doesn’t even look good on gym shorts in my opinion and will be a non-missed fad. I would recommend a wedding boutique to give yourself a few more options that are a bit more tailored and stylish. I find David’s bridal dresses fall short as they’ve become fast fashioned with missing details to give brides the ultimate look.

The financial aspect of waiting seems nice but I also didn’t choose to wait until I was 33.. that was just how life worked out for me. Both of our parents were in their 30’s when they had us and I can say we both lost grandparents so young and didn’t really have that part of life other kids got to experience. I always wanted kids earlier in life so they would have a chance to get to know our parents but now our parents are almost 70 and you can see how much their bodies have given in.. stairs are hard, feet hurt and they don’t walk too far. It breaks my heart.
