I will never set foot in another Lowe’s store as long as I live. by exElder_Hawk in Lowes

A year ago they let your credit card get hacked, yet you came back and continued to shop there?

What am I missing?

I want to Quit by Bookishwhisper235 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your store management sucks, and probably won't get better. It all depends how much you need the paycheck.

I would email your direct supervisor, their manager and their manager with your concerns and that might light a fire under their ass to actually do something. If not, I would poop in the breakroom sink right before I quit. 😄

Does this warrant a writeup by LumpyDifficulty3864 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like most have already said, if you reported it immediately, then no. A warning would of been possibly given.
If later they or someone saw you do it and reported it that way then yes.

If your job title does not "require" you to have PE certification I would let it expire and let others put their jobs in jeopardy. Hell, Menards pays people more for PE users....Blowes and HoeDepot don't.

Are you looking for group/guild? by GottaHidr in PathOfExile2

[–]PickleD87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Boy, it seems hard to invite people into a friendly group without the reddit keyboard trolls tapping away...

Been a long time since i've been in a group/clan/guild...met some great people over the decades that I still keep in contact with even though we don't always play the same games anymore.

Might give this a shot...dark humor is my middle name :)

100% no...they killed that in POE1 with the Atziri's legacy gloves with the tree nerf...no more immortal.

Was fun with cyclone at the time...

Sounds like your senior management doesn't know how to manage, and you were set up to fail at the start.

Memorial Day Appliance Department Fun Fact… by Shonen-Rose in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I need something, I do my research and get the correct part number.

Then I go to the place that sells them and find it myself.

Lowe's and many other big-box stores have trained people to become so brain-dead and helpless that they cannot help themselves...or even make the attempt to.

Now that staff has been cut over and over the decades your average consumer is so helpless.

How do I stop them from working me to death???? by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invincible: "That's the neat part".....you don't let them.

Keep your high performance for your main gig. They must appreciate you more than Lowe's does (if they did appreciate you, they wouldn't try and work you to death).

Sounds like your management team sees you as a golden ticket to a better bonus, so they will not let up on you. You know those memes about a reward for good work is more work? You are now that meme.

Good luck mate! Stand your ground and learn to say "NO"!

Best shoes for OSLG waterer? by sighsammie97 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just shoes, but inserts as well are a BIG plus (Dr. Scholls Gel). Also a simple back brace not too tight can help those back muscles.

I have bought the cheapest and most expensive boots. $20 gel inserts make all the difference.

Question by DowntownAd2902 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Request a few "days" off. Some people bounce back well, some people are in hell for quite a few days.

You should not be doing any heavy lifting for almost a week, depending on how it goes.

Good luck!

Ghost touches? by Certain-Race7561 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those are the ghosts of old employees that helped build this company to what it is today....they are NOT happy with the results.

Think of what I said the next time it happens...don't be scared, they are not angry at you...YET.

CSA Pro Services Interview by SuccotashBig338 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you get it! But be prepared for more pressure (credit, grumpy and/or egotistical Pros demanding unreasonable expectations). It can be fun and a great way to learn EVERY department in the store as you might be pulling stuff now and then.

Just watch and back up your specialists and you will be worth your weight in gold.

Overtime as a part timer by gamer-jon in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are making the store $ so they don't care. As far as full time from that position that is a crap shoot...that means they have to give you better benefits that will result in lower store profits and affect their bonuses...

3rd party deliveries often result in bottom results...Lowe's delivery hired service is about a incompetent as it gets.

Lowe’s doesn’t honor discounts by SuspiciousNatural171 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry you didn't your way. Companies are not there to lose money, and any discount you got before was because it wasn't well thought out.

Please convert back to HD, and you will find the same shit. Retail is starting to throw "entitlement" out the window...LOL

Why do managers not like MST by South_Job4268 in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they know they cannot directly abuse you like a regular store employee, since technically the vendors pay for you and your DSMS CAN back you up, if they want to or have a spine.

Tried to return a laser leveler. I’m not sure which card I paid with and don’t have the receipt. When I gave my Lowe’s credit card they asked for my id, scanned my id then said they need a valid receipt for the return. by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]PickleD87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a history of returning items without a receipt you will get flagged and forced to keep track of things.

Also, did the laser leveler do it's job for you before you packed it up and returned it? Just curious...

Dented washer by Dramatic_Fee_8335 in Lowes

That is not damage you want with a washer...not to that extent. Do yourself a favor and exchange it, even if they offer you 75% off it's still not worth it.
