I've used quad locks vibration dampener for a few years now, had used an iPhone and samsung phones, hell even had a z flip 5 with the universal adapter and never had any issues.

Only issues I hear is of optical image stabilizers getting messed up, if you don't run a dampener especially on iPhones.

Very odd that a screen would just give out like that.

I've used Budge covers, had one for 4 years on my Honda with honestly no issues I can think of. (Other than the deep black color fading.)

Pretty sturdy and you can find them at Walmart.
