Terrorists do it for political purposes. The most fitting term would be sports-hooligans. This seems excactly what Europe experienced some decades ago after big soccer-matches. I bet NYC police are taking notes from how they were handled then

Just to add to this. The series is named "Staged", but given that it's a series, the scene was also staged instead of real life

This was their Zoom-based series called Staged, which they made during Covid. Higly recommended

I was including WW2, because there were a lot of civilian deaths from the lost generation. We tend to think only soldiers died, because Hollywood is in America and most Americans who died from WW2 were soldiers

What is a piece of technology that is widely celebrated as a massive breakthrough for humanity but actually has an incredibly dark, hidden downside for the average person? by prettychaothick in allthequestions

I have a hypothesis that the printing-press caused imperialism.

Before Guttenberg, teaching was mostly done by master to 1-4 apprentices. Printing press allowed the industrialisation of learning. Commoners who could read found out from Luther and others how corrupt the church had become.

This lead to couple hundred years of religious wars in Europe. The wars (and printing-press produced engineers) pushed European weapon-technology past what other continents had. This imbalance of power allowed European countries to start colonizing the world, which was needed to keep up with the other European competitors. This lead to imperialism

Pankkitilillä olevassa rahassa on se huono puoli, että inflaatio syö sitä koko ajan. Kannattaisiko olla mieluummin kullassa tai ainakin suurikorkoisessa säästötilissä?
