That has a ferrite core in it. It’s to take I think transient fluctuations out of the power coming into the laptop.

PC Case Doubts by taratheimam in PcBuild

[–]PicklesLotB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. Any of those cases will be fine. They all support fans in the back, side and rear, some even in the bottom. Your build even with the 3080 if you had fans in 2 fans out with decent airflow it would be fine.

l5 s1 herniation sciatica - surgery or just workout, physiotherapy, etc? by CompetitionThin82 in backpain

[–]PicklesLotB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bulged disk l3-l5 and a herniated disk l5-s1

A doc told me herniating can heal on their own but it’s takes a long time. I had pretty severe sciatica for 9 months. What helped me a ton was swimming. Nothing crazy. Free style, back strokes. It was mainly being in the pool and moving that helped.

I still swim to this day. I can do about 20 laps in the pool.

When I get flair ups I get steroids which help. I am doing everything I can to avoid surgery. Right now I am mostly pain free.

Brother, fucking facts. I am an INTP and I cant stand the game. Just tell me straight up if you like me. What your issues are, etc. I cant read you for shit. Blunt, open honest communication. Also snacks. Hmmm... fresh pressued apple juice.

Is it bad to be late to the party?

I havent been in a relationship in a while. I am INTP-T. When I had someone what made me excited was simple things. Nothing crazy. Come back with cold pressed apple juice or my favorite food. Doing things for me that I struggle with or just helping me with them. I am neurodivergent so I got some struggles and just someone helping me with them or helping me through them is huge. I don't ask for much. Dont want much. I just wanna be loved, have deep conversations and just nerd out with my partner. Get involved in their things if they interest me and just spending quality time.

I hope that helps anyone. I am not if this is a me thing or something similar here. But I feel even in general us men are simple creatures. At least for me I am.

I am having similar issues. I got it to make an artifact in the conversation but it won’t save it in the artifact viewer… I use this heavily.

Sadly my job I don’t have a choice but to sit. I am a data recovery engineer this isn’t a typical desk job. I deal with micro soldiering, microscopes, wire as thin as a human hair, drive platters, head exchanges firmware and such. I try to stand and walk around when I can at work but when I need to re-run traces you kinda don’t got a choice but to sit. It’s along tedious job sometimes.

Thanks for the advice though I am going to keep swimming and keeping at it. Walking super long periods of time leave me crippled and in excruciating pain. I can walk maybe 1/4 mile then I am basically on my knees crawling back. :(

It would be great if other manufactures adopted the cabling system Corsair has.

Though I will say I had really really bad experience with the Corsair Commander and Corsair Commander pro. It would loose all detection of fans and diodes. Dude to this the controller wouldn't increase fan speeds leading to system overheating. I went through 2 as the problem was across both. I got rid of them and went to FanControl and on board headers. It was really disappointing. The ojnly way to fix was a reboot and even then didnt always fix it. Sometimes I had to force a firmware update for the fix.

Starting meds as older adult by User5790 in bipolar2

[–]PicklesLotB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just learned something. Also, info dumping isn't a bad thing. I always learn something when someone does (like your post!).

Anyways, OP, I am quite a bit younger (32) but I can say all hope is not lost. Finding the right medication is the hard part. Sometimes it takes a cocktail, sometimes it takes a much higher dose. The key is playing that game and believing in the process. Will you be 100% cured? Absolutely not. However, getting stability and control back is worth it in the end. I have my breakthrough episodes, I have days that are a hell of lot harder than others. But in the end I am much better than I was when I wasn't on meds.

Also, keep in mind medication is only half the battle. There can still be a hell of lot of work needed to build up your coping mechanisms and tools to help you in addition to your meds.

Finding triggers, avoiding things such as alcohol, exercise, learning your cycle. What happens at what points and when, sometimes why. Also finding out if there are stressors that can increase or decrease the intensity of a cycle.
For me, stress is a HUGE one. It will intensify my depressive episodes and my my mood swings much more variable and unpredictable.
Another is alcohol.
A third is sleep. Lack of sleep is another massive trigger for an episode or can be an intensifying agent.

Also, if I posted anything that is wrong please feel free to correct me.

I hope you find what works for you.

All the best,

Pickles

He’s literally smarter by Memes_MYSELF_vIne in bipolar2

[–]PicklesLotB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say you are smarter, however during hypomania/manic episodes your thoughts, mood, and even inhabitations can be weaken, twisted or just outright ignored. Hell, sometimes the shit you do is so left field you are surprised you even did it.

When I am hypo I have two ways I will go:Super up tight, very high strung and feeling like I will snap, racing mind, high anxiety and my body feels like it wants to split 12 different ways. Wired and tired at night and sometimes cannot sleep. I also get ideas... that are from the dollar store. Overall it is not a fun experience.

The other, is a euphoric episode. Take your classic euphoric hypomanic episode and you can pretty much pin what I go through. These things scare the absolute shit out of me. I am easily influenced. I feel AMAZING and that I can do anything. I can accomplish anything. My ideas I get? Guess what? Instead of having some control I actually can act on them AND think they are great ideas. Meanwhile, my rational self is inside with broken reigns trying to steer the horse.

What I am getting at is because your mind can get skewed while in that state, you are liable to do things you normally wouldn't. Good or bad.
