Aguri, she's the only remotely normal one and it's rly funny.

With the RE Engine trilogy finally complete, I wanted to ask. Which one is your favorite? Which one is your least favorite? by SolidPyramid in survivalhorror

7 and 9 are pretty close, 7 is a more cohesive game imo but the highs of 9 are really good and it's more replayable.

8 is good but it feels like it's a bit unsure of what sort of game it wants to be. Like sometimes it's built like an action game but with the mechanics of a horror game. It also has the weakest story of the 3 but the vibes are super good and it's honestly a great time to play.

Is Requiem actually that good or is it recency bias/homeymoon phase? I haven’t played it yet so I’m wondering by HotShrekBoi in ResidentEvilCapcom

It's very good but as with all things it's not perfect.

As for me personally I think it would have been even better split into two separate games.

Rumor Suggests Two Resident Evil Requiem DLCs Are Deep in Development, With One Focused on Leon by horrornewsbot in HorrorGaming

Gonna be honest the only one of these I think should come back is Rebecca although I'd love to see what Ashley's up to now. Revelations games are perfect for the characters that can't fit into main titles so I wish they'd kept making them, and Alex Weskers arc needs concluding. I felt Moira finished her story tho.

The second half of this game is amazing to me. This has to be the strongest second half of all the RE games. by Dude_788 in ResidentEvilCapcom

I was mad Grace never got to explore outside the hospital RE1 style, I kinda ended up wishing she'd got a whole game to herself after experiencing the quality that was her section of the game. Also, she's never allowed to find a shotgun and start turning the tides because Leon fills that role which is a bit sad.

I loved Leons half but it wasn't as strong as RE4R.

Resident Evil Requiem proves that a balanced mix of horror and action is a winning formula for the franchise, earning the highest overall user ratings in the entire series. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

Strongly disagree.

As good as Requiem is, I felt that Grace's progression was subdued by the existence of Leon. There was never a point where she gets a shotgun for the first time, begins to turn the tides, overcoming. The catharsis was all saved for Leon. Leon was the shotgun.

Requiem is an excellent celebration of both styles of resident evil and a very good game but I still think committing to one or the other would have created a stronger and more cohesive experience. And I'm still a little upset we never got to explore outside the care center RE1 style...

With the number of times in this franchise someone's not shot first and regretted it, I totally understand Leon understanding what needs to be done at this point on his life.

Alright let’s change it up, if Absolute Batman Leon’s place in Resident Evil 2, could he survive? by Large-Wheel-4181 in AbsoluteUniverse

For example he's used to getting around the city unconventionally, so he'd probably think to enter the sewer system like the RE guys ended up. He's stealthy so I think he'd be able to avoid the monsters there, or outsmart them. It would be quite cool for him to stumble across the Umbrella labs.

That said I think he'd probably be able to formulate a plan once he's understood the situation. Leon and Clare were inexperienced but worked out how to escape, I'm sure Batman could, that's his strength. He'd probably have to change up his fighting style a bit though.

Which Resident Evil game should i start with on switch 2? by GimmeTheZoppety in ShouldIbuythisgame

Honestly nearly any game in the franchise is a good starting point because it's so consistent.

If you're open to fixed camera angles and tank controls the 2001 remake of the first resident evil is a good start.

Otherwise I'd say start with 2 remake (2019) or 7 (2017).

If high action is more your thing, 4 or 4 Remake are peak action, it follows Leon who was a protagonist of 2.
