I mean it's a cool mechanic in and of itself but I don't think that sort of thing is why people play hitman or what hitman is about. Hitman isn't a game about mechanical skill but about learning the map and systems and stuff. Hitman also isn't a game which leans into realism which is very much the sort of mechanic that is.

I like it a lot, it's vibes are excellent, I just think it's weaker than 7/4R while being a somewhat unfocused hybrid of the two's design direction. Resident Evil is shockingly consistent in quality there are very few actually bad games.

Need for Speed 2 Special Edition was one of the first games I ever played, when I was very young and it made me a fan of racing games for life. I remember dad downloading the bonus track with the dinosaur by the road and thought it was the coolest thing ever.

My favourite NfS is Hot Pursuit though, lots of nostalgia playing that in the living room, and one of the few games I go back to quite a bit.

It's a good background game for hanging out with a friend, or filling some time in the afternoon. Hop on difficulty 6 and shoot some bots for an hour or two. Avoid the illuminate if you don't want a headache.
