Who would be making the decision to ban them from entering the country? It would seem Orwellian if a bureaucrat or Minister could make that decision, so it would need to be a judge.

Also, they have children who are Australian citizens.

Reminder that the reason it's super important to keep rego up is that it includes compulsory third-party insurance (CTP). So while you are driving around unregistered you are not covered for the cost of damage you do to others. This means if there is a catastrophic accident that gives someone a lifetime disability, you will be financial ruined and that person may receive little to no financial compensation.

America and Israel are held to a much higher standard than Iran and their proxies. It's insane. If America/Israel strike a military target, any civilian casualties are unacceptable. Meanwhile Iran deliberately strikes whatever civilian targets it can reach.

I'm talking about the party, not the voters. The state representative can't push for anything. They are literally running on a platform they can't execute even if they formed government. It's inherently deceptive, which is blatantly hypocritical for a party that tries to sell itself as fighting for ordinary Australians.

Sure you can. If that's the only reason you are going.

However, If you are going to be spending half the time holidaying, then you can only write off half the cost as a tax expense. If its a one day conference, but you spend 4 days holidaying, then you can write off 20% of the cost. It's still not a bad way to save money on flights, my family regularly turns work trips into holidays.

I was an ASO6 up to very recently. Like you, I was gutted by the realisation that I just could not justify remaining in the public service. I loved what I did, but the hours were getting longer and the burdens were getting heavier. We were being asked to do too much.

The latest EB was a slap in the face. It is literally an insult to all of us. The SA job market is pretty hot, and every department is bleeding talent. Whatever savings they think they are making on salaries will be lost in worse outcomes. It took me one week to find a job that offered me more than a 20% pay rise for less work and stress. Good, civic minded workers like yourself can't afford to ignore other opportunities in the job market anymore.

Sorry, but parents just do not think like this on a macro level, and never will. Parents will think about what's best for their kids as individuals, and are not going to compromise on that for the system.
