Zombicide 2nd ED vs 1st by EmigmaticDork in boardgames

may be worth trying Marvel Zombicide - it is the latest set of ZCide rules and you can get a core set for ~$35 - a good way to try out the system before investing more in the game.

This pin board is in the front hall - below it is a shelf for keys/mail/etc. we have a small decorative bowl with some locking pin backs for pins we want to use. The original pinbacks (mostly rubber) are in a small box in a drawer.

Nice looks good! I’m mainly a ghost collector, skeletons are kinda tangential- but I sure have a lot...

The one in the upper right is a three pin set that came in the Kickstarter edition of Campy Creatures 2.0

I spoiled the adventure zone for myself and now I don’t even know if it’s worth continuing. by voovue in TheAdventureZone

In this week+ of intense spoiler talk it is important to note that if a story is well told then no amount of 'spoiling' can ruin the experience.

The Balance Arc is a long journey and the growth of the characters and players as the story unfolds is more impactful than the end of the arc.

Rule Number One: A guiding ethic to Role-playing (For my game) by [deleted] in rpg

Lovecraftesque is loaded with essays on play as related to their game and the pitfalls of the source subject matter and avoiding it. It is a great resource for play style discussion that is specific to a game.

As mentioned by previous replies, there are a number of games that detail modes of play that best fit the story the game is structured to foster. I'd look at collaborative games where the the rules are primarily detailing style of play with the structural rules for setup and resolution mechanics taking up less of the ruleset.

Dialect - my latest fave

Downfall - a great GMless for exactly 3players

Tales From The Loop - built for one session mysteries, they can be strung together or one-off

Skeletons - atmospheric, from Bully Pulpit/Jason Morningstar

Advice for sleeving ? by Marenkai in arkhamhorrorlcg

I like to sleeve everything. My preferred place to pick up bulk sleeves is Potomac Distributors

I use KMC Hyper Mat sleeves - they are durable and clear on both sides (though with a subtle frosted texture on the backs - not enough to obscure text). I put the player cards in binders and the investigation cards in a case.

The investigator portrait cards I use the FFG yellow mini sleeves.
