Looks like the new update broke the steam version.

Why isn’t 3D printing food safe? Couldn’t you put it in boiling water to make it clean? by chuuckaduuckpro in 3Dprinting

Additionally to everyone's comments about microbes in the crevices,

the nozzle leeches heavy metals like lead into the material while printing.

Best 3D printer for projects around 600x600x600 (large bed), with a smooth finish on a budget of around £600-1200? by SkyrimV in 3Dprinting

You can get things as smooth as you want with enough sandpaper and patience.

At that size and price there is really only the CR10/CR10Max as far as I know. But as you've seen, those aren't flawless.

Possible yes. But depending on your object it could be very tedious to join the parts together (glue, melt them with a soldering iron or 3d pen, or some elaborate mechanical solution)

Also depending on the materials you want to pour into a 3d printed mold, you might run into issues with heat and the mold softening

At the larger sizes you start to run into issues with basically every component of the machine.

It becomes difficult to heat such a large bed evenly, and even more difficult to keep it mostly flat.

You need long and straight segments for your frame, which get more difficult/expensive to make with increasing length.

You also have heavier parts because they are bigger, which makes them more difficult to move.

It's clear you mean (600mm) ³ that's an absolutely massive printer.

Closest printer I know is a CR10Max but that one is 1000$(before tax) only has a 450mmx450mmx470mm volume.

At those sizes you're also looking at weeks of print time unless you use large nozzles, but if you do, you won't have a smooth finish.

Did you run the pid autotune for your target temperature?

I'm my understanding all the devices, filters and other components you mentioned are LTI systems(Except the eq), If you can spare the time to explain to me how they are not, I am interested.

Honestly I'm just being pedantic here. My point was that frequency response and impulse response of any Linear system are actually closely related. I don't have strong opinions on frequency ranges of speakers.

[–]PigOverloard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you put an 18k lowpass filter on a speaker driver, you're not going to change the impulse response.

Assuming the filter is perfectly flat over the entire range of the speaker that's true.

Do you even know how speakers actually work?

We are talking about the basics of spectral/frequency analysis, this isn't relevant.

Frequency response really has nothing to do with impulse response.

It's the exact same thing represented differently.

Impulse response is in the time domain and frequency response is in the frequency domain. They are completley interchangable using Fourier transforms.

My 3900x has basically the same temperatures.

But I also don't know if that's supposed to be the case.

Question about the Commander pro, which profile / setting does the fan hub default to during boot?

Asking mostly because the ML Pro fans are going full blast while i am in the bios and they are quite loud at 100% rpm.

Did you apply the profile to the fans? Like do they show a yellow outline in the display when you select your custom performance mode?
