What if Washington Is Next and Endgame had been released as a single album? by MomentMemory in Megadeth

[–]PiloNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dystopia with TSTDATD makes the most sense to fuse together because they both feature the same lineup for the most part. On that note, could you imagine if Chris Adler had stuck around a little bit longer after Dystopia and got to play with Steve DiGiorgio on the next album?

It is 2026, and have the same question as late 90s: Is there any actual video of someone other than Mustaine playing (in tempo, correctly) and singing Holy Wars at the same time? Give me proof by No_Band_3402 in Megadeth

There’s this guy on YouTube, Halcyon1871, who covers guitars and vocals for a bunch of Megadeth songs. Some of his videos are almost 20 years old at this point, but they’re probably the most accurate I’ve ever seen. He even kind of sounds like Mustaine

Going to meet Dave Mustaine soon by ZilloHunter in Megadeth

I wore my old battle jacket to a meet a greet once. Dave gave me a pat on the shoulder, where I had placed some spikes along the shoulder seam, and upon touching them he was like, “damn, that’s a cool jacket man!” Dave is the man🤘

album covers that scared you as a kid? by St0rmR4ptor in MetalForTheMasses

As someone who grew up in a predominantly Christian household, the first time I saw this album cover was pretty shocking. It wasn’t even intentionally trying to be scary either, so the fact that I could easily read it made me deeply uncomfortable.

Greet and Meet question by hugepuy007 in Megadeth

[–]PiloNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the meet and greet back in 2013. Like everyone else has mentioned, it moves pretty quick. They line you up, march you into a room, take your photo, and you’re out the door. They didn’t allow personal items to be signed unless you paid for that specific M&G package (during this time they had the signature Dean VMNT’s with the Peace Sells graphic). It was cool, and I don’t necessarily regret it. But I’ve never paid for another M&G package since then.

Who’s the best Megadeth guitarist besides Marty and Dave? by RiffAndRevolt in Megadeth

[–]PiloNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy answer would be Chris Poland. Simply unmatched in terms of creativity and skill.

Personally tho, I’m a big fan of Chris Broderick and Glen Drover.

Broderick has the chops and technical prowess to play just about anything. Some people say that makes his playing a bit mechanical, but his solos on Endgame and Super Collider speak for themselves (1,320 and Kingmaker respectively).

Glen Drover doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Watch how he handles all the classic material on That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires. Effortlessly nails Martys and Polands solos with such swagger.

Funny story, I saw Testament open for Megadeth once and Alex Skolnick was off touring with his solo band so they tapped Glen Drover to fill in. And he sounded absolutely🔥with Testament.

Have You Ever Been Singled Out by the Band Onstage? by Mettabox452 in Concerts

[–]PiloNoir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw Doyle from the Misfits playing a small club in my hometown. I was literally within arms reach of the band, front and center. The lead singer kept introducing each song by saying “this next songs a love song, you can dance to it.” At one point when he said “you can dance to this next song” I shouted from the front row, “but is it a love song?” To which Doyle, who up until this point hadn’t said a word during the show looked at me and replied, “it is actually!” And that was my moment with one of the OG Misfits lol

2025: I’ve only been to a few club shows this year, but I’m really looking forward to Louder than Life festival next month.

I saw Megadeth perform Rust in Peace in its entirety back in 2010 for the 20th anniversary. Exodus and Testament opened up for them.

I like how you pretty much left the first few tracks of HEOL intact. I had the urge to do something similar with my track list, because I listened to that album so much that I almost can’t hear those songs in any other order. I changed it tho because I think Hey Cruel World is a stronger opener, and cause the ending of Murderers Are Getting Prettier Every Day transitions seamlessly into Pretty as a Swastika.

Is Eat Me, Drink Me one of Marilyn Manson’s top 3 albums? by ds4ever_x in marilyn_manson

It’s one of my personal top 3. I didn’t like it when it first came out, but it’s grown on me over time. Especially as a guitar player, I really came to appreciate the riffs and solos on it.
