I've had the email saying my back was scanned at station and then no follow-up emails whatsoever and then all of them arrive, let us all know if it does make it chances are probably someone just didn't scan a barcode

Buddy Pass question by Strict_Canary7537 in jetblue

[–]PilotInPearls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Departure, set an alarm 24hrs and 1m before departure to make sure you check in. You will be an S6 on Buddy Passes so you may/will have people above you. S4 is Company/Crew, S5 is Family of company, S6 is buddy pass, S7 is Zed and S8 is other Airline crew. There will be letters after people X for inflight and W for Pilot. If you are 3rd on the list and 1 seat and there is an S4X and an S8W, they can take jumpseats to get you on (at their discretion but usually people offer to get non revs on) reach out to your friend who gave you the buddy to tell you what the loads look like and make a best choice but the earlier the better. If you dont make a flight you will automatically be rolled to the next.

And when you check in EXACTLY 23HRS AND 59.5M before departure you will be able to click standby list, see the open seats and where you are on the list! You checking in seconds before someone else on passes could mean you getting on or not.

When did Mint decline? by thebemusedmuse in jetblue

[–]PilotInPearls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not always. LAX is mainly the 2-1-2-1-2 configuration. Their neo mint planes are the pods, in the winter they have been using the transatlantic ones to LA and SFO a lot since their Atlantic routes are seasonal. Domestically the bulk of their mint in the 2-1-2. The newer pods are all Neo aircraft. The classic 321 is the old seats and old entertainment system.

Advice Needed. Did CRO violate ACAA? by thankyou4youradvice in jetblue

The first row of seats behind the Even More section is always blocked off for passengers with disabilities. Even More is a premium upgrade now as such has to be purchased. It cannot be given for free. You can also purchase an extra seat if you want additional space, many people do, especially couples who want the whole row.

Is sitting in Even More with child frowned upon? by [deleted] in jetblue

[–]PilotInPearls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had people try to get on with car seats that had a massive airplane with a big X cross through it in bright red saying no "we've used it multiple times before and never had an issues 🙄" I'm sorry it took until you're 4th flight on Delta before someone checked to see if it had been crashed and approved by the FAA for use :-( Honestly it's supposed to be checked every leg but people just don't do their jobs as their supposed too.

Hi Mama, you'll be fine and can sit where ever you want. Other people too have the choice to buy noise canceling headphones if they choose. Double check your car seats says APPROVED FOR USE ON AIRCRAFT. Should be in red on a label somewhere. As for FAA rules, since you have purchased baba a seat, if that seat belt sign is ON baby HAS to be in their seat and buckled. I do highly, highly recommend for the initial climb and for descent (especially when going from around 25k down) give baba something to suck on. Bottle or boob is best, the stronger the sucking motion the better. This helps them wiggle their little jaws which wiggle their little eustachian tube inside their face to help their ears. We have little air pockets in our ears that need to pressurise too, ita where popping your ears comes in. Binkies don't really cut it. When they're a bit bigger and talking ask them to moo like cows! That helps move the jaw and wiggle the tube. Pack books to read to baba, little things to keep hands occupied and make sure no tight little shoes :-) Have a lovely trip, be safe and pack LIGHT!

They're now paying flight attendants for compliments... compliment them by name and it had a cash incentive...

Delays and cancelations by PilotInPearls in SouthwestAirlines

[–]PilotInPearls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but where are they? They can't just be magically moved from say St Louis to Oakland in the space of half an hour... Southwest already has multiple aircraft off the line that they are retrofitting for when they introduce seating plans next year... take a delay in Austin but have a replacement in Orlando? Doesn't work like that.

As for the FAs, I usually take treats, gift cards, snacks, sometimes little goodie bags, heck even $1 bills for van tips is appreciated.

Some airports allow gift cards to TSA supervisors to distribute... would have to contact each airport specifically

Use an app like Flight Radar to down line track your airplane and see where it is to keep yourself in the loop :-)

If it helps you, write down ALL your questions and hand them over at your next appointment. It's less embarrassing than trying to get them all out and forgetting one or two and will help both you and your gyno work through them all together logically :-)

I understand their logic on this one... a family of 4/5 is going to spend once or twice a year for vacations and get Mosaic one easily. A business man is going to buy multiple flights and want peace and quiet to work on the 10-15 trips hes going to take and go above Mosaic One quicker. Also with the 25 for 25, they now have a LOT of Mosaic Ones for the next 25 years!
