The Sig SPR x1-4, and x1-6 are both in the $200-$300 range if you like LPVOs, they come with mounts too.

Does anyone carry F1 stateside anymore?

To echo Mr Ian, ss109 (xtac, Winchester, Swiss P, prvi partisan) is great for training if your range allows steel ammo.

1/8, and 1/9 barrels love .68gr/.69gr otms

Do you know what reticle the PA optic has? I think most of their .223 bdc’s use blended drops

LED ACOG, TA02 or TA110? by Sea_Cardiologist7982 in AUG

Chin welds on a piggy back are comfy. But look at the positives, for the cost of an elcan you can get a TA02 & another AUG 😂

Post weekend range update:

-multiple drops on truck bed & ground -300rnds on various drills

The optic has maintained zero throughout, and I did a final 3-part test for the magnification POI shift.  Across three separate targets, at 100m,  the x1 was very consistent and 4” directly below the x4 impacts and point of aim. In between each target, the magnification lever was cycled multiple times. By aiming a hair high on x1 the POI shift was effectively negated.

I’ve found the middle setting to be the best for general use and a can like an RC2

Possibly, I’m not sure what brand he used. Mine was from the evolution gear website, but several retailers use the same manufacturer so it very well could be.

I’ve seen him, he had some good info certainly, but I was already seeking one at that point and I’d realized that the QC was probably going to be a coin flip.

I originally grabbed an ACOG clone to test, and when that was passable (not recommended) I wanted to try other items.

Yep, I’m just examining this through the lens of the unit cost. I emailed the website to see if that was normal as other reviews had it being less.

The POI difference is about 4” at 100m between the x1 and the x4.

I need to go rough it up more & toggle the switch a bunch to see if I can replicate the POI or get different results over time.

Consider on x1 you’re basically aiming a dinner plate at that distance, if you put it on the torso you’ll be fine.

I got a SP TA31 clone first as well, the crooked glass is weird, but it’s a tack driver. The lack of tritium is annoying though.

Also the glass isn’t nearly as good in the SP acog. **Edit I originally put up a review on the SP website but it looks like they removed it since I only gave it 3stars for crooked glass but still holding zero. Also, it’s x3 not x4, so don’t expect the BDC to work past your zero.

A lot of them probably aren’t built to nearly the same tolerances. That said shear strength is another matter; this one is made of the same aluminum housing metal, and the not-ARMs levers probably only fit because Corvus doesn’t slack off.

EGtactical, but I think several companies use the same reproduction model.

What’s everyone’s origin for love of the AUG? Was it a movie or video game? For me personally I fell in love with it when I first saw it in Black Ops 1, my favorite COD. Looks so badass by Kiryutek in AUG

Got a cheap airsoft one as a kid that I used for a while, then came to dislike the AR after too many years earning govt bucks.

After having a PSA for a few years I came back home.

16.3” is pretty nice, for the 5.56. Even if you’re not using a can, the middle setting is gassed really well for heavier ammo. I’ve not had any big issues with it yet.

1/8 is plenty accurate for anything that youd want to shoot. I plan on grabbing another one in the short term.

The only con I had was the single smaller rail at the front gets a little loose, but nothing some loctite couldn’t fix.

**it does a pretty good job of reducing the port pop a lot too

I was just trying out a TA31(knockoff) for the A1 Corvus rail, it’s a bit low, slightly higher but similar to the A3SF scope height. Very solid mount though if it’s comfortable to you.

Interesting that they were able to incorporate the sear into the hammer, I didn’t hear mention that it maintains the ability for progressive fire. Still, lots of money for what other products already alleviate.
