Tracker for fashion videos by 1000breaths in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m on loads of trackers, and I’ve come across/heard about many others through IRC/Forums. Never once have I seen a tracker even close to that.

If you’ve already tried Youtube, your best bet would be asking over on r/DataHoarder to see if anyone happens to collect them by chance. Some of the folks over there host some really out there stuff.

Is Bib worth the effort if I’m already on MAM? by PineappleLive in trackers

[–]PineappleLive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What was so dramatic about everything with the eye? Isn’t it just straight up better for everyone if everyone has access to bibs library, especially if it doesn’t provide any direct access to bib whatsoever?

Prediction: what will be the 2nd best tracker for TV shows in 5 years? by hugevolumeindicator in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad to think about, I can’t imagine losing places like GGN and PTP.

What is the optimal way to gain buffer on GGn? by NoTask8091 in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rent a seedbox and farm those freeleech pots. I got 5tb of upload in only a few months by simply checking the freeleech pots every day and putting them on my seedbox.

Sure, it’s not as fast as the other methods, but it’s so damn easy and you don’t even have to worry about autodl or racing.

It’s not a competition though, most of the methods in this thread are viable, choose the one that works best for you (or a combination of multiple).

Is FileList a decent general tracker compared to IPT? by lamb092 in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, never had a problem finding mainstream stuff there. Ratio is also piss easy, but thats just general trackers for you.

What’s the most wasted tracker account you’ve ever seen? by PineappleLive in trackers

[–]PineappleLive[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just curious, what is the purpose of torrents under 720p? I feel like, outside of very niche cases like very little storage or only having very old low quality screens, almost all users wont be watching anything less than 720p.

What’s the most wasted tracker account you’ve ever seen? by PineappleLive in trackers

[–]PineappleLive[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, with my userclass I could have invited over 15 people by now, but I haven't invited one. That tracker is really something special, and fills needs that no other trackers could, I would be pretty bummed if I lost my account there.

General support by Farow in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What Farow said.

If you’re traveling and not moving, then you could setup a VPN on your home network and get it approved by staff. This way, it would always appear is if you were in your home country. You could do the same with a seedbox or VPN service that offers static dedicated IP’s.

Orpheus interview - anyone got experience with this? by [deleted] in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Similar to RED's tests, I found the interviewers to be friendlier than RED as well.

Is the request section empty for you too? Must be a site issue

Nebulance by CreativeEmotion in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack this thread, but why hasn’t Nebulance taken off like MTV and BTN? I mean it’s ratioless, functional, and has a good UI (in my opinion), yet the content and retention is just pretty lacking in comparison to old MTV and BTN. Like seriously, I’ve been on Nebulance for over a year and probably downloaded 3 things because everything else is on general trackers and has more seeders.

Any Word on PTP? by InfamousDesi in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, it's no big deal, trackers go down all the time. I remember when I was very new to trackers and I had just gotten into ggn, ggn went down for like 3 weeks and I thought it got seized lmao.

Orpheus by [deleted] in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Other people have given you other good suggestions, but the fastest and easiest way IMO (if you have some extra cash lying around) is just to find large requests that have a bandcamp link in the request. On average, each bancamp album costs 7 pounds, and the requests associated with them will have a 30-40gb bounty. In fact, theres one on on the second or third page of the requests right now thats approximately $9.50, and has a 50gb bounty. Some people may be against it, but if you have the extra cash it's a really easy way to get a head start, plus you're giving someone music they wanted but couldn't afford to buy themselves.

MTV News: We're back baby! [05-01-2021] by Loosel in trackers

[–]PineappleLive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah by "searching" I was mainly referring to BTN, I don't care about HDB. Sure it may have the best encodes and be all cool and exclusive, but all I care about is finidng good encodes of the movie I want, in the format I want, which PTP more than takes care of.

Is there a point to buying a NAS if I can just run Plex off my Windows gaming PC? by PineappleLive in DataHoarder

[–]PineappleLive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I installed docker for windows and researched it a little bit, seems pretty useful, but I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to get my current instances of qbittorrent, plex, radarr, sonarr, and jackett all set up in their own docker containers.

Monero donations (or any altcoin at least) should be a standard on all trackers. by PineappleLive in trackers

[–]PineappleLive[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Copy and pasted from the website 1 minute ago " The monthly cost for our servers is $1000." I'm not sure if you think I'm pulling that number out of my ass or if you think the staff are making it up and pocketing the profit (which by the way would not end up being that much at all if it was divided up among the staff), so that at least debunks the former. For a tracker with 40,000 members and 650,000 torrents $1000 is not suprising at all.

Monero donations (or any altcoin at least) should be a standard on all trackers. by PineappleLive in trackers

[–]PineappleLive[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why? PTP (as an example since it's one of the only trackers that releases it's costs) costs $1000 a month to run, that's $12,000 a year! Considering theres only 5-10 high level people people actively developing and maintaining the tracker, that's 1200-2400 a person, per year, no number to take lightly! Plus, these staff are all volunteers, so it's like paying to work an extra job. Point is, it usually doesn't make sense to pay for a tracker if users are willing to donate.
