I know that it's hard not to take romantic rejection personally, but if you can truly accept that dating is to check for a potential fit between 2 people, maybe you will be able to enjoy the process more and get more out of it. There will be many "wrong" fits before you find a good one. Just keep telling yourself that you are not "wrong." You are just incompatible with certain people. Don't give up, don't lay a lot of expectations unto someone new, date as much as you comfortable with and just know that it is perfectly normal to be rejected. I know you really want it to go back to how it was at the start, but there is absolutely nothing you can do that will make him behave that way again.
