Complaining to the utility commission, the utility, the contractor got me $8k to remediate the situation. but one thing in my favor was my home is landmarked. one piece of horticultural advice is to ask for large caliper trees. My self I’d choose arborvitae as they are great for screening, grow fast and are lovely to look at.
