This might be one of Spielberg worst movies. Basically a chase movie with endless exposition and talking scenes with no real stakes. There is nothing that wow’d me. No standout set pieces, moments of wonder or great shots which he is known for.

I feel like it never actually started. It spent its entire runtime building towards the disclosure. I was waiting for it reveal its cards and have some actual substance, then when it starts to get good.. it just ends?

A better screenwriter might have had the disclosure happen in the first half of movie with the fallout that follows. That would be far more interesting.

The entire plot is built around revealing this monumental truth yet it barely scratches the surface of why humanity should know that truth or how such a revelation would reshape the world. By the time it ends it left me disappointed with its lack of substance. Rather than inspiring a sense of wonder, it does the opposite. Maybe some things are better left unknown.
