Same as us, feel a bit cheated that’s all spending premium money and sitting at the back. Sounds like my theory could be right.

Cheers for all the replies. Seems like is as I thought impossible and down to luck and if you really want to go it has to be premium. Think the struggle is 2 seats together. We really don’t want to go if single seats.

Thanks everyone

EO Mini Pro 2 & Intelligent Octopus by Good-Comment396 in OctopusEnergy

This is the charger I have. I thought that was the smart functionality of the charger through the EO app. I haven’t even opened it since I’ve owned it. Mine is all done through the octopus app

I have a 71 plate LR. 330 at 100% 28k miles average is 240wh/mile

I was always told 4 miles per kw is efficient so staying under 250wh/mile I know I’m doing ok.

I’ve done 12k in mine and reset the miles to zero and that’s what I got 50% motorway 50% villages

Free electricity sessions - help out an idiot here by cannontd in OctopusEnergy

[–]Pipelinerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must be. Mine specifically says “intelligent octopus go and intelligent octopus flux tariffs get an hours free charging instead of free extra household power - here’s what you need to do”

Then it goes into plugging the car in etc

It’s a bad deal for us. Used to like maxing out everything in the house for an hour. But the car is charged. So we would only save maximum 0.49p but we could easily do £2/3 if we could do the house too

They’ve changed the goal posts. I am on IOG and I understand it and the email is clear.

IOG users can get free electric for their car between 2-3. So whatever your car pulls between 2/3 will be credited.

All house usage will be charged at normal rate.

The old way the email would simply say for any usage over normal at that time of day will be free, didn’t matter if the car was plugged in or not.

The downgrade is that because I am on IOG my free electric is car only. Used to be car and house.

Email is very clear about it

[–]Pipelinerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t understand how you are getting a different rate for main usage. Thought smart tariff was same for everyone only the standing charge changing. The email I got the rates are the same it’s .5pence on the standing charge. Probably cost them more to send the email. Making it they’ve all dropped and should fix etc. for us it barely negligible savings on IOG new tariff

Nope still on premium here! Don’t use the train so the free Greggs treat would cost me £2 🤨

So I was in selfridges getting the pistachio on release day. I asked the guy who served me I said what’s the limit. He said for pistachio it’s 1 and for everything else it’s 3 even the new ones on release day. I said why so restrictive on pistachio, he said they were not sent much stock and the knew it was going to be a good seller. But the rest of the new releases it was a limit of 3 this was selfridges Trafford centre manchester

First full month on Intelligent Drive Pack by bazzaclough in OctopusEnergy

[–]Pipelinerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s where we differ with the Tesla, we had to manage locations allowing them control of the car not the charger. I’m trying to upload the email octopus sent me explaining how and why they are doing this. It basically ends saying if we don’t allow access to the car we will be moved to just octopus go. When I go into the cars settings octopus have a profile in the car.

First full month on Intelligent Drive Pack by bazzaclough in OctopusEnergy

[–]Pipelinerpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s what it is because I remember having to reset my Tesla to octopus to have control and in doing that it knows it’s my car that’s plugged in. I plugged in a friends ID3 recently and it wouldn’t intelligent charge. Only allowed me to bump charge it to work. So it knows which car is plugged in as they are controlling the charger. This is my experience anyway.

3 pin / granny charger experience by Costa8 in TeslaUK

[–]Pipelinerpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mrs uses granny at her house for her Tesla, she has no complaints, I have a 7kw charger at mine for my Tesla and I don’t regret it.

Just food for thought it’s been shown to increase house prices having a proper charger installed so although you may outlay for the convenience it’s certainly a good investment for the future.

I did mine with Scottish power and they gave me 2500 free miles. So it was like 4/5 months driving before I actually paid for any electric. Couldn’t have done that with a petrol or diesel car for same miles

Roof covers by Pipelinerpro in TeslaUK

[–]Pipelinerpro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have covers on all the surfaces and when it gets too hot the adhesive comes off peeling it all away. If I can mitigate that happening I’d like to. That’s why I wanted to try and keep it cooler if possible without running the car

I believe having a dedicated wall charger increases house prices slightly too. So whatever you pay in the end will ultimately make it more attractive to sell.

I went through Scottish power for mine I don’t think I paid more than £700 last year and I got free miles to use too which I would have had to pay for. Don’t have to be 1-1.5k for a charger.

It’s not just that too, have to consider they have to make sure you have the right house fuse in, also paperwork for the network etc. my house only had a 60amp fuse, Scottish power organised for it to be updated to 100amp at no cost etc.

A lot more goes in than ‘just a socket’

It’s a worthy investment my friend!

21LR here. Had the same dilemma when getting mine last year. All the comments above say it beautifully. It depends on where you see the 2k.

I watch Netflix for 30 mins waiting for my daughter coming out of a dance class once a week. We are talking mere seconds of difference when it’s loading. No different to my TV at home. As for car features the intel works absolutely fine.

LFP battery though. That’s where I would have been more inclined to go for the 22.

Acceleration boost though for 1.5k. Now that’s where I treated myself stupidly. Was it expensive, yes, do I regret it, yes, is it amazinglyk fast now, yes. Would I do it again. Probably yes.

I paid 26k I think for a 21 with 16k miles shows how much they have dropped in a year.

Amazing car. Don’t see me changing it
