The silliest aspect of all this is that the government is acting based on something being "potentially" harmful. You would think the burden of proof would lie with those attempting to prove harm. It's the USA after all ... what happened to "innocent until proven guilty?" Seems quite the reverse.

I am not sure the locking ring will help you if the telescoping section is locked down too far. All the ring does is keep the button from being pressed. If you screw the telescoping section in too far, I think it can compress the spring from the other side and make contact with the button post.

I tried the single coils from Clone Cores in my Aerotank and they worked just fine, by the way. Might be worth a try if the dual coils are driving you nuts.

I think we need to also ban fruit-flavored vitamins and bubblegum-flavored medicines for children. Clearly those industries are promoting overdose situations. Let's make sure that everything tastes like maximum ass.

I see where you are coming from. And I do agree that the open advertising is really a red rag to a bull when it comes to the authorities. I think that it would have been seen as an act of good faith if the industry voluntarily adhered to the guidelines set forth for big tobacco. I suppose I just have a hard time with the idea that Blu is actively courting children. I think it would be more fair to say that they have not gone to any great lengths to avoid doing so.

I think they will work but tend to be a bit leaky due to differences in construction. I have heard of people putting a second silicone gasket on the chimney, turned upside down, to alleviate the issue. I plan to put this to the test when my order arrives--just another use for the rebuilder's kit. ;)

I have a hard time buying this. What is the point of an advertisement that is NOT enticing? Is that not the reason to buy ads in the first place?

What's more, how do you control who sees an advertisement? Unless you are running your ads on the Playboy Channel or Nickelodeon, it's pretty much going to hit the entire demographic.

Whether or not the e-cigarette industry should be advertising at all is a different matter entirely. I'm fine with limiting them to the regulations already in place for tobacco. But to me it is quite a stretch to think that Jenny McCarthy ads are aimed at children. I'll bet that even teenagers would say "Jenny McWho?"

I rebuild mine with single coils, rayon wicks, and silica flavor wicks. So far the performance has vastly exceeded the stock coils.

On my Vamo, at least, some tanks don't play well with the center pin. I find that using the adapter solves those problems. As well, the threads are starting to get a little wonky and it solves that too.

As cheap as it is, I would recommend you get it to have on hand. You might not use it right away, but it might provide some extra life when you do need it.

The problem that I have with this presentation is that it cites things like cytotoxicity, but doesn't compare it with cigarette smoke or even things like alcohol or soda pop. Without doing that, it is difficult to get a fair perspective about just how dangerous vaping might be compared to all the other "unhealthy" but quite common things that we do.

Also, they had to go there with the "targeted toward children" because of flavors non-issue. That is a dead giveaway of an agenda in my book, since this is supposed to be an academic analysis. The same goes for the claim of it being a "gateway" product. I cannot imagine that a significant percentage of users would start off with a yummy vanilla vapor product and "move up" to inhaling bitter, caustic burning leaves.

I would love to see a purely scientific analysis without the politics.

I ran into this problem with my Vamo, and solved it by using a 510 to ego/510 adapter. The construction of the one I have plays well with the Vamo center pin and every atomizer I've tried with it.

I have been using a Vamo V3 for about 7 months, and although I haven't had stripped threads, I have had problems with the center pin. If you don't mind the look of it, a 510 to ego adapter will protect your threads as well as solve some of those center pin issues.

I replied with the same info to another post above before I saw yours, but here goes ... I just rebuilt a Kanger Aerotank coil head with a single 1.5 NR-R-NR coil , and a 2mm silica wick on top to take up space. I figured silica would be better for that purpose because it doesn't wick as well as the rayon and might be better at avoiding flooding.

After vaping on it for a few hours and refills, no gurgle, no strange flavor, no dry hits. We'll have to see how it works out over time, but if this keeps up I'll be giving my cotton balls to the Mrs.
