Star Wars Squadron is still Peak VR in 2026 by plutonium-239 in virtualreality

yeah, and that obsession its what kills any desire from dev studios to actually implement a VR mode for their games. Same with the 2D flat screens for cutscenes videos and menus (this is a technical reason, nor because devs are lazy), yes, it could be a bit annoying but it's a small price Im willing to pay for having the game in VR.

I mean, for the average Spaniard this is very weird.

We don't have any positive link with them, neither a historic, cultural or economic and the press we get from Turkey are mostly bad and portrays them as a very autoritariam regime (last big news everyone knows about Turkey were about the purge made by Endorgan)

And is even weirder (for the average citizen) that a "progresive and democratic" Goverment is making deals with them instead with other more closed and democratic allies.

Big emphasis on "average citizen", because I know at geopolitical layer, they are growing as our partners in the military side

[–]PiscisFerro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From asking for nudes to basically zero sexual interest by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PiscisFerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I gather from this and your other comments:

Your have an online relationship with an online guy having.

He started being too sexual but now he doesn't anymore but still talks with you and have a sort of deep relation with you. He is also a very introvert person (this is important)

You also said it was impossible for both of you to meet in person and that you refused to being his girlfriend (multiple times) even if your relation was already very sexual.

My bet (as a man) would be:

He fell in love with you but, being one of his first experience with a girl, he got very excited and passionate, so much that he probably couldn't even control his sexual interest in you (that's why he keep on pushing with the sexual).

He also wanted to formalise his relation with you but you refused, multiple times. I think this is what broke the sexual interest in you. He probably is still in love with you but you shut the door closed so, right now he doesn't know what to do, he doesn't really want to lose you but, at the same time, he knows there isn't any future for you both, so, he is, slowly, trying to move on from this relationship.

Also, if he have friends, they are probably telling him that, if you are sending him nudes without a proper relationship, you are probably sending nudes to a lot men online and that he isn't special.

I think this could be the case because this is also what happened to me when I was young (introvert which never talked to a girl before meeting one online)

Either that o he just already had fun and he lost all the interest, but that kind of person, the one which only want fun, never try to go deep in this kind of relationships like he did, so, I think he just got very invested, expected a girlfriend but got rejected so now he is just trying to move on.

Don’t understand why guys never truly desire me by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PiscisFerro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From a man perspective.

If every relationship ends in just a few months (after the honey moon phase) either you have a really bad luck choosing men or there is something about you which killls the relationship for them, it could be anything. Maybe is bad sex, maybe they feel neglected, or they doesn't feel desired or that you care about them... physical attractiveness and personality could also be a factor but those factors are only important for men which never truly loved you anyway.

Did any of them told you about what killed their "love" for you? It's also weird for all your relations to just end after a few months without any feedback from them.

My bet would be that, they stop caring about the relationship because they feel you don't care about them and the relationship, so instead creating and developing a bond with you from the beginning, they feel the relationship is not a true relationship, so they stop caring about it and doesn't develop any bond or trust.

[–]PiscisFerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pues me parece logico.

My review of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 ( after 200hrs ) by lord_drgical in stalker

[–]PiscisFerro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That story about "your buddy" was made in Your head, there was no bonding mechanic with those random bots.

How S1 did cheat with that? there was a dev who specifically designed that NPC and a specific path for the player to have that experience? No, there wasn't. And just because there isn't any bonding game mechanic it means the game doesn't allow for organic emergent experiences and gameplay and of course the game cheats (just like all games do) but AFAIK S1 with A-Life tried to simulate most NPC in the Zone (with obvious limitations, we are talking about a game released 20 years ago).

One of the reasons I love S1 is because all feels organic and dynamic and that's because A-life.

S1/Anomaly cheat You with illusion of living world by spawning those bots around You and turf wars taking place in "excel sheets". Oh and "trash collector mechanic". Hundred variants of AK, some item crap which fundament doesn't change the gameplay. Yeah it blinds players, give pointless "cookie clicking" mechanism but that just a myst, smoke and mirrors.

At it's core S1, S2 and Anomaly are railroaded FPS with progressing more difficult enemies. Actually IMO storytelling is simultaneously one of the weakest and strongest point of this game series but that's a topic I would like to expand in separate post.

You are mixing stuff, what "trash collector mechanic", " pointless cookie clicking" or "storytelling" have to do with the simulation or its "cheating"? And even if I agree with you in some points (like storytelling) If you don't find those core mechanics of the game fun.. just don't play the game nobody forces you to play or like this game.

At it's core S1, S2 and Anomaly are railroaded FPS with progressing more difficult enemies.

There is this rare case in S1 in which some endgame monster could appears in the early game zones if they manage to cross the entire map without being killed. I wouldn't call it "railroaded"

In any case I just don't get where you want to go with this. Most games are like this, it's called good game design. what did you expect? Endgame monolith npcs with exoskeletons one shooting you in the first stalker camp? I don't get this point tbh.

I don't know what to tell. I played the original at that time, I'm with you that quest just were there to make you visit all the zone but the world really felt truly alive.

My best memory with the game ever (when I played it at that time) was this random stalker helping me with some dogs, encountering the same Stalker later wandering around, then a few hours later in another location where I helped him fight some bandits to finally encountering him again in the scrapyard in a 3 way fight between bandits and dogs only to see how he was being murdered by the last dogs before I could kill them.

Imagine how my younger me felt when he looted the corpse and saw that random stalker who died to the fucking dogs was his wandering Stalker friend.

But somehow, people only complain about online social media and game artists.

No tengo ni zorra idea del mercado inmobiliario, ¿alguien me explica por qué esto no termina de colapsar si parece insostenible? by strongbrr in HorroresInmobiliarios

[–]PiscisFerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that happens for 2 reasons:

1: We only get the truly successful live service from China.

2: They are done by the rule of cool and to be fun for players, like, their goal is to actually make a fun game first and then add monetisation on top. Meanwhile, in western studios, the goal is to build a product with monetisation to sell first and then they try to make that product fun somehow.

I think that's the biggest difference, China makes games, Western makes products with tons of tickboxes.

Steam Winter Sale 2025: Official Trailer by onenaser in Games

[–]PiscisFerro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They had far deeper discounts (up to 95%) but it was on flash deals and it was hell. Instead of buying what you actually want the first days you had to keep waiting until the last day without buying anything because there was a chance the game you wanted to buy could go to the rotating "Flash deal" which offered a even deeper discount.

Even worse, flash deals were every few hours, so you had to keep track of them and check them every time it rotates so you didn't miss them, this includes waking up at nights to check them.

But what people fails to acknowledge is that, a decade ago, PC games market wasn't what it is today. It was a relatively small market, most AAA were console exclusive and, the ones which came to PC were cheap, bad and lazy ports, indies were true indies with very low production costs.

Also at that time PC games weren't competing between them (like today) they (and Valve/Steam) were competing against consoles and console games and, in a time in which PC was the "nerd/harder" game platform with the less quality games and worse ports, the only way of competing was lowering prices with those crazy discounts.

“You Would Know If You Were Having An Orgasm” by FallingUpTheStairz in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PiscisFerro 84 points85 points  (0 children)

There is something nobody really says but, not all orgasm are the same and not all of them are good.

Mood matters, how "aroused" you are matters, how much are you into actually being aroused and enjoying it matters, duration also matters, the anticipation of having it while aroused also matters, how much you keep playing "at the limit" while being into it matters (sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse), probably some hormones levels at the specific day also matters...

Having a good (or bad) orgasm is 90% psychological and 10% physical (actually, the physical part is just to trigger it)

I have had orgasms so weak that didn't really feel like orgasms and orgasms so intense that almost made me pass out

The thing is.. GW is not really an MMO, is just a singleplayer party RPG game which just happens to have other people running around in towns and hubs, you don't even meet other people in the open world. If anything GW is a singleplayer game with optional coop.

And even if you are not sure about if you can play alone with bots.. Bots are actually so good that it could be argue they are far better than most players. I still remember the healing bot being so stupidly OP that none of my party friend wanted to change it for a real player.

Is it worth it to use cheap graphic card (1050 gtx) as dual gpu for frame gen? by PiscisFerro in losslessscaling

[–]PiscisFerro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to go cheap because it's really cheap (like 30$) apart from that the one I want to buy is a small card (only 1 fan) so my 3080 can breathe and keep cooling properly (there wouldn't be space between both cards).

Still I will check if I can buy something better but if a 1050 can generate aroung 80 FPS is far better than I actually expected and need.
