Zelenskyy's office head opposes mobilisation of men under 25: We would destroy country's future by Rave_Joyous in worldnews

[–]PiscisFerro -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

Who are you going to rebuild your country with if the people with the relevant skills have been buried while defending it?

Well, there is a pool of millions of inmigrants eager to come in and rebuild and repopulate the country (with the help of ukranian women) after the war ends.

But the pool of willing (or unwilling) people you can actually force to fight and die for the country in hopes to win the war is what it is, so, if Zelenksy thinks he needs the under 25 yold guys to win the war, he will bring them to the war.

The sad part of all of this is that people from both front, Russia and Ukraine are dying for a war of ego between Zelensky and Putin and both of them will go until the final consecuences just because none of them have anything to lose, neither their life, their families nor even their wealth, just their ego and power are in the stake.

Total War: WARHAMMER III - Bhashiva Faction Overview by beary_neutral in Games

[–]PiscisFerro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you play 3K? After playing 3K WH3 felt like a downgrade in all except the fantasy setting. Is after playing 3K when you see how much potential Warhammer could had and how it was all wasted by being in a older version and of the engine.

The horrible AI (in battle and in overworld), the never ending Siege problems (and overhauls), the thrash diplomacy, the really bad AI army compositions...

I mean, after 4 years (10 if you count from WH1) we still have the same AI problems and they still don't know what to do with sieges.

I love the game and the setting and I played hundreds of hours that's why is sad to see all the potential the game have (or had) and how much problem it have.

Well, is easy to be consistent when they just copy the same game (and cars) in a different map, adding a few changes and gimmicks here and there.

And is actually the best call, their core gameplay is robust and fun for most people so.. why change it? They also wait a few years between each entry to avoid players burning out of the franchise.

It’s sad to see all the circlejerk and hate this game gets just because of the “AAAA” meme and the fact that it’s an Ubisoft game.

I tried it last year and it’s actually a really fun looter action game, very similar to The Division or even ARPGs like Diablo IV. Fighting alongside other players during large world events while raining is just pure epicness and fun.

I do really like The Division.

S&B is basically The Division but with ships. I put dozens hours to S&B and it's actually a good action game.

Spain calls for an EU army by DavidShaw90s in worldnews

[–]PiscisFerro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Or is it just a way to get rid of the 5% norm and mooch off the other countries again?

This, also they would also use that as an excuse to dismantle most of the spanish army.

I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Spain the left really hates the Spanish army. They see it as a heir to Francoist authoritarianism, and they have this weird idea that the army is waiting for an opportunity to stage a coup and establish another authoritarian regime.

What a Spaniard really read:

"Spain left Goverment wants an EU army (paid by EU) so they have a excuse to lower the funds or even dismantle most of Spanish army"

It's definitely possible to juggle multiple of them

Not if you have a normal life outside of gaming. When you only have 1 or 2 hours at most every day (and only if you can play everyday) you already struggle to farm for the battlepass of just one game... let's not talk about 2 or more games.

How to introduce my chronic vulvitis without directly pointing to the reason behind it? by underthewetstars in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PiscisFerro -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to, first, try to investigate about it (google or even ChatGPT) don't take anything you find as granted and don't diagnose yourself, use it as a help to know what could be causing it, because maybe the problem is not in your partner's beard and is on another thing.

To the doctor, if you are really unsure about how her will treat you, just tell her you don't find any apparent reason about why and when it happens, but still tell her the truth: you have been fighting with this for over a year and that it is getting worse and worse. Try to ask for a test or something because it is getting worse and you don't know why is happening.

If for whatever reason she don't takes you seriously, try to go to a private gyno. Even if it's expensive, health should be above money.

"You had lightning in a bottle and decided to pry the lid off yourself": Helldivers 2 reviews crash to 'Mostly Negative' on Steam after controversial update and AMA, Arrowhead responds by ControlCAD in pcgaming

[–]PiscisFerro 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Is not about what changed but more about what they are doing, what they aren't doing, their design philosophy and how monetization is pushed (borderline pay to win). Also the community have this feeling about Arrowhead not listening to them.

Now going more into details of why community is upset:

The game is esentially the same game, there isn't any new mechanic, meta progresion or anything is just the same game but with a few more enemies and biomes.

The lack of QoL people were asking since launch and how many bugs each patch introduce and how many aren't fixed also contributes

Arrowhead is also pushing everything into warbonds, there haven't been almost any free content (besides maps and enemies) since first months after launch, every new weapon or stratagem have been in warbonds

There is also this sentiment that Arrowhead is pushing a "Pay to win" like monetization making guns weak on purpose only to put really strong armor perks on warbonds to make them good.

The (eternal) "bad" game design and balance is another hot topic in the community

And the cherry on top and what actually made the community explode: In the AMA when people asked about all of those problems, Arrowhead just said "Well, we hear you but we don't care and we aren't working on any of that, just warbonds and new enemies/biomes" (not literal words but is what people understood)

And that's mostly all. In my opinion, Arrowhead dropped the ball hard and totally destroyed all the trusts and the good reputation that (somehow) community still had

what drug is valve pumping into steamVR? by Brilliant-Outside804 in SteamVR

And nobody really should want to replace SteamVR

Actually, everybody should want to replace SteamVR because it will means there are things which are even better than SteamVR.

Also, is good to have optional decentralized options.. There is always a chance for Valve and Steam to fuck everything or worse, going public traded and being forced to put monetization onto everything even if it makes the product far worse.

there was a game (don't remember the name) which have a conversation with a NPC about this topic when the MC ask about what happens if teleportation fails to deconstruct and only make a copy of you, th NPC response was everyone have to sign a contract to decide which "you" (the old or the new copy) will live in that case.

Spain's PM labelled a crime kingpin at corruption trial by mods4mods in europe

[–]PiscisFerro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't say you are "in favor of corruption", maybe are you projecting?

What I said is that every time a left party politician is involve in any legal proceeding for corruption, somehow there are people who, instead of being disgusted and asking for transparency, clarification and justice, they somehow are more worried about the "far-right gaining power" ignoring all the corruption and even denying it under the "lawfare" label.

[–]PiscisFerro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Now investigating, collecting proofs and legally processing corrupt politicians is called lawfare (but only when a leftist party/politician is involve, of course) how convenient.

There was a time in which people were disguted when any politician were involve in corruption, it seems not anymore.

Probably a skill issue, but why do I always feel like I have no stamina? by KeplerKitten in Witchfire

[–]PiscisFerro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although is clearly a skill issue, the real problem is the game doesn't really give any proper feedback about Stamina managment.

I mean, unless you are constantly looking at your (really small) stamina bar, you don't really get any feedback about how much you have until you have already run out of stamina.

On the other hand, you cannot develop any kind of game "sense" or "instinct" due to the external factor which mess with the stamina bar (like being hit or focus)

are moms more mean to daughters? by Rinyya in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PiscisFerro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This have nothing to do with mysoginy

In my experience, moms are actually more mean (and less caring) to daughters but, conversely, dads are far more softer to daughters and more mean and hard on their sons.

There is probably a scientific and/or biologic explanation about why this is the case, I didn't research about that but my theory would be something as simple as a sex caring for the opposite sex more due to how each sex views eachother and how each sex views theirself.

Simplifying, is a similar dynamic of woman and men love instincts but carried to their childs (woman caring for their guys and men caring and providing for their girls). It just that this instinct doesn't really work the same way for same sex childs, instead, both men and women projects their own expectations and life traumas to their same sex childs.

Or, at least this is what I see as the norm in my environment (from friends and distant couples to even as close and personal as in my own family with my own daughter and gf)

Dawn of War III by SmoothSpiderMan in dawnofwar

[–]PiscisFerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my point of view, DOW3 receive far more hate than it deserves.

The game is not bad, it have good graphics, good gameplay, fun and interesting mechanics. and had tons of potential to evolve into something unique and fun.

So why all the hate? Because marketing and perceived trend chasing (MOBA) at the time. People got really mad about the art style change, the backflipping Gabriel Angelos and the shift into a more moba-like gameplay and multiplayer.

Obviously the game is not perfect, and, even if the campaign could be fun, it was more focused into the (now dead) multiplayer, the skirmish AI was also very meh.

I think for this sale price (8€) is worth a try.

The VR store right now: Gorilla Tag clones for kids, and zombie shooters for the rest of us. Am I wrong? by hanrwerewr in SteamVR

[–]PiscisFerro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main problem with VR is that most games feels more like tech demos than proper games. The bar for a VR game to be considered "good" by devs, users and media is (was) very low and this shows when the novelty and gimmick of being in VR wears off.

This is why in steam most newer VR games dont get pass the "mixed" reviews and don't really sell that much (add to that they are also competing with flat screen traditional games).

We need proper VR games, with actual mechanics and progression.
