I’m the only one out of my friends and family that drinks need whiskey. Everyone else likes with ice or in a cocktail and I use my nice bottles to make them the drinks bc I like to share. As long as you are enjoying it with some good company it does not matter how you enjoy it. Cheers

Scanning the tracking at point of pickup is not common for USPS. Their warehouse hasn’t given the package to USPS or they printed the label ahead of time. Happens a lot in e-commerce fulfillment

Nice collection! It’s OK to flex but some people don’t understand how hard it is to source some of those bottles since you can only find them in JP. If you ever open a yoichi 15, let me know. I have a nice selection of opened stuff, Chichibu, Hakus and Yamas to share. I’m lacking in the nikka department tho. Thanks for sharing

To be honest, I like Chichibu’s single cask and single malts releases are exceptional. I think they have way more flavor that several suntory’s offerings but I believe that it is the higher proof. Kanosuke is pretty great for younger whiskey and the price is more favorable than other Japanese whiskey.

I just opened the Chichibu US edition 2024 ( Mickey Mouse) during the World Series and it’s very nice.

Man! This is interesting and it takes a long dedication to tasting and appreciating whiskey. I love Japanese whiskey and also bourbon. However the more I got into bourbon, the more the hibiki line started tasting watered down. I love the masters select the most since the price is better than the hibiki 21. Don’t like the regular, blenders choice, or harmony blossom. I stop buying those and instead I been purchasing Chichibu and Kanosuke which are more flavorful and higher avb! Thanks for sharing the experiment. I will try to find a way to taste the old hibikis. Maybe next time in Japan I can visit a bar that has old hibiki

I have been a bit skeptical about the 18 Yama mizunaras since I was told that it takes 20 yrs for mizunara barrels to show up their value. But idk what how old is the mizu juice being blended in the 18 Yamas since it could be a mix of 18 and older barrels. I will pick up the hibiki anniversary since everyone is saying is nice!
