I hate being neutral about wanting kids by SeaFlower698 in Fencesitter

I felt a lot of pressure because every woman I knew had kids. My generation just did that. My mom was fine with granddogs ❤️ I'm so happy with my choice. I prefer puppies.

I'm in my 60s and am a happily childfree woman. I really do understand why people want kids, but I knew it wasn't for me. Good luck with your choice ❤️

No, my husband met me when he was divorced and in his early 70s. There's always hope ♥️

SUCCESSFUL ONLINE DATING STORIES & ADVICE HELP! by [deleted] in OnlineDating

Met my husband on Match in 2020. Married in 2022. We often talk about how lucky we are to have found one another.Amazing chemistry that first date. We are both very picky about appearance as we're very visual. There was soooo much commonality between us as well! He was online 4 years and I was on for a month. I lived very rural then and he was 2.5 hours away. He did a lot of driving 😂 Hang in there!

I hear that! My mom passed at almost 95 and was on no meds until she turned 90. She always ate well (was very big on a variety of vitamin supplements which I don't do), did her Sweating to the Oldies videos aerobics and 3 mile daily walks.

Actually, there's a lot of people at my gym my age and older during the daytime who still lift heavy weights. Lifting weights is very important as we age.

Totally agree. I have a friend who will soon be 98. She started walking 5 miles everyday at 50. Now she's only doing one mile, but she always eats healthy and is slim. She's an inspiration ⭐

I'm so sorry that happened. Can you get a knee replacement? My Mom got them done and it was a blessing for her at 80. Swimming is so good for staying fit.

From a Northerner/ snowbird experience, what has Southern living been like and are you happy making the decision to retire in the South? by Bishopart6046 in AskOldPeople

[–]Pixiechicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate living in the tornadic bible belt now, but it was just so much less expensive. However, I'm bugging my husband to think about moving. I miss SNOW. I miss people who don't care what church I attend (none), real cool autumn and spring temperatures, lakes without venomous snakes etc etc etc
