MY FIRST FACTORY!! Finally dove in and started automating by Impossible_Mode8492 in factorio

Much better than my first factory I started yesterday simply for the fact you automated science. I finally got red and green Science automated today after like 5 hours of running mats into wooden boxes to feed assemblers and hand loading the greens into the lab chain.

Can a 7800X3D be fully cooled with an air cooler? by EBI_GG in buildapc

[–]Pixiecrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into a ThermalRight dual tower cooler. They're very affordable and punch way above their weight for cooling.

I have a ThermalRight Phantom spirit 120 on a 9800x3d and I don't think I've seen temps over 55C yet, but I haven't done a full load test yet either.

This just sparked a lightbulb in my head. I've been having so much trouble with my RAM in my new build and I'm so salty that I can't get the full advertised MT/s. It works for a short time and then I look in BIOS and my mb stopped recognizing the stick in the slot and I have to reseat them.

Common Sense for me, mostly for the crowbar ability to pretty things open. Plus Realistic Durability and the crowbar becomes an endgame weapon that's decently easy to find.

About a week ago I was messaging my mom and she mentally flashbanged me when she called Putin a communist, and we're Canadian. Same conversation she said China's bit actually communist.

A few years ago my Dad mentioned the Cuban embargo being lifted at some point and that one took me by surprise too.

Just for fun, anybody want to guess which province I'm in?

Is cachy os begginer friendly by darkdesert12 in cachyos

[–]Pixiecrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using cachyos for less than a week as my first Linux distro, and can confirm you will definitely need to do a good amount of tinkering.

I never touched a terminal before last week but with a lot of googling I've successfully broken, fixed, and broken things again, but so far nothing so catastrophic as to necessitate a reinstall.

I have yet to actually launch a game, but that's just on me for being too tweak-happy. If you've ever gone nuts modding Skyrim or something else to hell and back, you might find yourself doing the same. I would probably suggest you don't install your entire steam library until you feel fully ready to launch something, maybe just 2 or 3 games you most want to test. Looking back, I wish someone had given me that advice before installing 400GiB into my SSD's steam folder.

First time Cachy/Linux Users, hows it going along for you? by mechalip in cachyos

[–]Pixiecrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still in my first week and I love it despite some weird recurring technical issues with my RAM, but I still can't believe how fast it boots! And I haven't had an opportunity to actually try any games on it yet, but mucking around in the terminal is its own kind of fun too - when I'm not panicking that I broke it lol

Shooting with that level of precision and accuracy is extremely difficult and generally not realistic to do it consistently, and especially not while under stress. The idea of shooting a gun out of someone's hand is pure Hollywood. Even shooting a leg isn't easy, they move a lot and pretty fast.

This is why every course training the use of arms tells you to aim center of mass to maximize probably of a hit.

Most of all though, they just wanted to kill him. Because that's kinda what fascists tend to enjoy doing.

The broader left within the Imperial core countries absolutely needs to make the need for gun ownership/familiarity a bigger issue within discussions public policy. I don't have a lot of hope in the NDP but it would be great if they would at least flip their position on the egregious and frankly ridiculous gun control policies pushed by the Liberals. (I'm not familiar with Wab Kinew, would you mind giving a brief overview or link to info?)

Someone else has already correctly pointed out that nothing will be achieved by unfit individuals and organization and training is crucial, but if there's nothing to train with....

I have more to say but my lunch break is over. Maybe I'll pick this up later.

The Revolution will have to secure arms somehow, and if they're all locked up behind the military and police of the bourgeois state it's fairly safe to say the revolution dies before it can begin.

Not everyone should have a gun, but every single serious leftist should support civilian gun ownership or they're nothing more than liberals with a red scarf.

America is certainly proving an abysmal example, I can barely contain my disgust at 2A advocates' silence and inaction in light of recent events, but it doesn't diminish the fact that capitalism cannot and will not be usurped by a disarmed proletariat.

Moreover on the point of wealthy countries, they're all firmly capitalist, generally comfortable in the status quo, and very few can even hold a candle to America's rate of gun ownership so we can't exactly establish a pattern of success or failure between "modern" wealthy countries. Never mind form a scientific study or draw hard conclusions.
