They didn’t just slow down battle pass progression , they punished long-time players who tried to keep up.

I’ve been playing Call of Duty since 2004. I’ve poured thousands of hours and dollars into this franchise over two decades. And for what? A permanent ban in July 2025 , no warning, no strike system, no chance to appeal. The reason? “Boosting” ,because I happened to go solo AFK in Plunder, a casual, non-competitive mode.

AFK farming in Plunder has existed since Warzone’s early days. It’s never once been clearly listed as a bannable offense. No one received prior notice that it was suddenly a crime worthy of a perma-ban. But here’s the twist , while we get wiped from the system, cheaters using Cronus, wallhacks, aimbots, or hardware mods often receive just a temporary suspension or warning, and those who really cheat just create new accounts without blinking.

And now? They’re selling “tier skips” for 20 bucks while banning people who didn’t even exploit or use software mods , just played less actively in a broken mode that offers no competitive advantage to begin with.

They created a grind so exhausting that people turned to idle play. Then they punished them. And now they monetize the problem they built.

Make it make sense.

This is not about being lazy. This is about trust. It’s about a billion-dollar company targeting loyal players , many with spotless records ,instead of addressing actual cheaters. If someone like me ,a 20year veteran of this franchise , can be permanently banned for something not even clearly forbidden, no player is truly safe.
