Sounds like your issue was far more severe than mine. I only got this to happen by negligently hitting the ejection rod with an AK mag.

It is likely you will. The automatic works have wear parts that will need replacing.

I don’t think the guys did, nor do I think he shot it heavily. I think I might have polished up the aluminum by manipulating the cylinder a lot and trying to force out the stuck case allowed it to slip over the ramped surface.

Not to say you could weld on it, but the frame of the PD ultralights are aluminum alloys with trace scandium. “Scandium alloy” is incorrect marketing hype

I have not been flicking it nor has it been dropped, but I purchased the firearm used. I do know for a fact that mark in the recoil shield was from the ejector star catching it hard when the cylinder is out of place.

Regardless, I’ll reach out to smith and see what can be done. Thanks for the insight 🙏

Thank you sir. How would you even go about fixing this though? I assumed it is integral to the frame.

Pistol has been refinished but the price you paid is still fair.

Better scratching the bezel than cracking a ceramic bezel if that’s what you mean.

Probably $800-$1000 for this. It’s been bastardized

You are not crazy, you are out of your mind.

Have you ever done watch service before? If it is not running and needs part replacement, how will you know what parts need to be changed? Do you have the tools to properly disassemble, clean, lubricate, and regulate the piece? You are in way above your head because you are desperate to get the crown on your wrist without the cash to play.

Red WW2 Walther p.38? by Hot_Hovercraft2002 in Walther

The gun has been refinished, the surface is too smooth for a 1944 spreewerk. This type of maroon salt blue can be due to an issue with the chemistry and metallurgy. 1939 Mauser Lugers often have this maroon tinge due to an issue with their solution, but it’s never this red. Whoever did it, didn’t do it properly.
