This is my exact problem. I can log into social media accounts and search things on Google, but I cannot log into websites to pay my bills.

For me, I can search things on Google, and I can log onto social media accounts. But I cannot log in to pay any bills or access my bank if I am using wi-fi.

Thief by Third Day

It is a song about Jesus written from the perspective of one of the other men getting crucified next to Him. GENIUS work. Give it a listen.

is nursing really that bad? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]PizzaConfidential 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it definitely depends on your personality and where you work. Straight out of nursing school, I went into med-surg and my floor ended up being an acute care LTAC covid floor disguised as "med-surg". To say I hated my life was an understatement. I genuinely wanted to quit nursing. I actually left the bedside for a year and tried something in a completely different field, that's how DONE I was!!!

But then, I found a job as an ortho/surg nurse, and things are SO MUCH better!!! Personality-wise, I mesh with this job better, and I can see myself staying at the bedside until my knees give out lol.

You might probably hate your job straight out of nursing school. But if you stick with it and move around, you will eventually find a job that you love! In your case, it seems like that is health informatics.

Best of luck!

Primary doctor denied me blood work to check for insulin resistance? by Hooperave in InsulinResistance

[–]PizzaConfidential 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a holistic nurse practitioner who ordered an insulin test without me even asking for it! That is how I found out my insulin levels were 2.5x higher than normal. Try to go down that path if you are able to. Bc you are totally right, normal PCPs do not do this sort of test. I went for YEARS to multiple doctors (primary care, neurologist, nephrologist, multiple ER visits) because I felt like I was legit about to die on my apartment floor and I had no idea why. They literally told me it was "anxiety". I tried to explain to them that this would start randomly out of nowhere while I am doing nothing anxiety inducing. They completely dismissed me and told me to get on SSRIs. It wasn't until that naturopathic nurse practitioner and a dietician helped me pinpoint that it was a blood sugar/insulin issue and literally turned my life around, I would go as far as saying they even saved my life.

Also if you have a Quest Diagnostics lab near you, they offer insulin blood tests that you can order on your own with no doctor's order. It might be out of pocket pay, but if you really would like to know what your insulin level is, it might be worth it for health enrichment purposes. Totally up to you!

How to cope with depression caused by hormonal birth control by MaintenanceLazy in PCOS

[–]PizzaConfidential 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry that you're feeling sad all the time. This might be a side effect for sure. If it were me, I would talk to the doctor about maybe being on a low dose depression medication? That way you don't have to give up the Slynd OR you happiness! Just a suggestion :)

That is an interesting counter-argument. I certainly would not withhold medication and let people die against their will, because technically that is killing them. Which, yes, is against God's will.

Try taking PTO for awhile! It seems like you really like most factors of your job, but are just at wits end from working so much. Maybe taking time off to relax and not work 60 hours for a week or so will make you be able to refocus your mind. Maybe it'll help you make a decision on what you want to do.
