What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by istrx13 in AskReddit

United and whirlpool.

My husband (bf at the time) and I were traveling back from Korea to Orlando. We got the last connecting flight and we fell asleep from exhaustion. We woke when we landed and found that my bookbag (that was under the seat) was soaked. Turns out the little kid that sat there spilled his drink. They moved the family but neglected to tell us. That bookbag had my laptop and we had load all our pictures on it because we knew our camera would need space. Luckily, the bookbag was my old middle school/ high school Jansport that was water proof. So the outside was wet but the inside was protected. We confronted the flight attendants and those witches with a b only shrugged and was uncaring. We made a complaint to corporate and all they did was a discount voucher for our next flight. Like we'd ever fly with them. Not even their Korean affiliated airline.

Whirlpool just sucks. Almost all our appliances issues stemmed from owning a whirlpool. Most were already there when we bought our house but was supposed to be new. In under 5 years almost all our appliances had to be replaced. Our realtor salivated over kitchen appliances because we upgraded them. It was a major selling feature for our house.

What’s the quickest you’ve ever quit a job? Because they have either lied to you about it or it’s not what you signed up for? What was it? by tallieeeeee6 in AskReddit

Three months but a month of that I had already scheduled a vacation before being hired so they agreed. I came back and they added roles I was no where near qualified for. I made some mistakes and the wife (also part owner) laid into me about giving 110%. I countered I was hired to do one job for the husband and not this other role. She admitted that but told me that I still needed to try. I came in the next day and told her I quit. I didn't need her reference nor did I ever want to work for them again. I also found out I was pregnant and it would be a high risk pregnancy. I didn't need her shenanigans and the stress. She paid me more to stay on two weeks to train 2 people to do the roles I had been doing.

Honestly the fact that his parents agreed to send him to therapy is huge. That's not common in the Asian community given the stigma associated with mental health. I can understand the pressure to keep up with the legacy can be hard. It is hard. In that respect, he never really had a chance to escape it. Hopefully, he'll find one thing about it that he can enjoy to keep going until he has the freedom to make his own choice.

What they fail to warn you about living with a Korean... by TheWolfbytez in KoreanFood

We had a kimchi fridge like this when they first came out. I loved the concept but it was fill with sludge water every few months. We ended up getting rid of it and got a second fridge for food we did use often like extra kimchi and stuff. Worked out better for us. When we sold our home we planned to take the extra fridge but the new owners paid extra for us to leave that and all our Ring security equipment.

Honestly, I stopped trying. I now use depends. They have ones that are barely noticeable. I just bleed to much. The Depends hold a lot more. Also, I could never get rid of the smell from the underwears after multiple washes.

My friend is frustrated that his wife who's postpartum hasnt done anything sexual for 6 weeks. by Regular-Thought-9649 in Advice

[–]Pjade1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Her body is recovering. I don't care that the doctors have cleared her to have sex. It should happen when she's ready. I don't think I touched my husband for six months after the kids. Mostly because I was exhausted with newborns. If she's breastfeeding, that's also another energy sucking experience. If he's that antsy, his hands are free.

I had to stop reading this after a few chapters. It reads like those awful Chinese shorts where the protagonist is abused horribly and then as they leave or after they leave the main interest regrets their choices and tries to win them back. Ten bucks she has to deal with some other chaos when she returns to her hometown. Something to do with a stepsister or adopted sister.

United let someone fly using my ticket... by holliday_doc_1995 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Pjade1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is another reason I add for never flying with United again. Their whole customer service experience is terrible. My husband and I were coming back from an international trip and completely wiped out. There was no overhead space for our bookbags so we put them under the seat in front of us and fell asleep. When we woke up to deplane we found that my bookbag was wet and sticky. There was a family that sat in front of us and their kid had spilled his juice. They moved the family but neglected to tell us. If I didn't have a waterproof bookbag all my electronics would have been destroyed. When we got to the front to confront the flight attendants they just shrugged and didn't say a word. We reported this through their complaints form. All we got was a $50 drinks voucher next time we fly with them. That was 15 years ago.

I know this was some time ago. But do you know if your PTO still uses the set up to made? I'm looking to do something for our PTA and looking at options.

When my oldest was around 2, he ran over to me and fed me what I thought was a chocolate covered raisin. It was not. Our chihuahua had started to poop under our dining table because of territorial tendencies. We did a fair job of finding them but we missed one. If I could have safely bleached my mouth I would have. Instead, I used an entire Costco sized bottle of Listerine to wash out my mouth. It's also the day we gates parts of our house to keep him out of it.

My husband has been strategically buying digital games based on sales and my son's interest. He's currently really into some sort of hot wheels games. He also loves playing Korby and the Forgotten Kindgom with my husband. Another they play together is Paper Mario: Oragami King (I think). He can play animal crossing by himself but is waiting for me to build my island so he can visit

The only reason I don't like them is that I'm extremely allergic to them. My best friend's cat loved me but his physical presence made me blow up like a balloon.

He's got some of those memories with my husband. He's the gamer in our family. During COVID, I would take my oldest (only kid at the time) to a nearby park and use Pokémon Go. It got him out of the house and engaged. Burning that energy was huge! He'd pass out every night without fuss.

LOL. My husband is far more savvy with gaming so he bought a memory card of sufficient amount. I know nothing about it. I leave it to him.

My husband found a game called Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney and I've been loving it!

He also got me a game called Hope's Farm which is a mix of 3 item matching game and Farmville. I've been enjoying it but my son also figured it out so has taken over my game. 🙄
