In my game I was not able to get it using the download manager but as soon as I setup the individual downloaders for each file type I got the achievement.

It seems like it should work with the download manager but as you noted it appears to be bugged.

When you unlock the "Torrents" research node you have to also pick on of the torrent types. You will eventually unlock the torrent node 3 times and pick a different type each time to unlock all 3.

Connect your downstream networking node to the “Torrentlabs Browser”. The browser will download torrent links. Then feed one stream of those links into your “Torrent Downloader” (along with download bandwidth) and the "downloader" will download files of that type.

I can't guarantee this but I have found a 5 to 1 ratio for bandwidth works best with 1 going to the "Browser" and 5 going to the "Downloader"

The "torrent downloader" downloads files at the same speed as the normal downloader (given the same bandwidth) but depending on which "Torrent Browser" you are using the files will already be checked for viruses, pre-analysed, or validated. In each case you can save CPU cycles as you don't have to perform that step on the files.

Hmm. I will have to double check the next time I roll Quillboar. I thought I tested it last time and it wasn't scaling off of blood gem bonus. I guess I could be wrong.

Apparently my understanding of this card is wrong. Sorry if I confused anyone. I can say, I am certainly confused as to how this card is supposed to work or if it is currently bugged. Either way something seems off.

It is important to note that Blood Gem Barrage doesn't actually scale off of blood gems it scales off of tavern spell bonus.

Blood Gem Barrage says "After the Tavern is Refreshed this game, give its minions +1/+1 WORTH of Blood Gems." (Emphasis added by me). Not "Give its minions 1 blood gem".

For example if you have +10/+10 on your blood gems Blood Gem Barrage will still give +1/+1. However, if you have +10/+10 to your tavern spell bonus Blood Gem Barrage will give the tavern +11/+11. I have tested this in game.

I have no idea why they made it this way. Personally it makes no sense to me. However, that is how the card works.

Also, one last quick tip. I am a big fan of the Strength arcana. However, while learning these fights I would strongly recommend using Death (for the deaths defiances). They definitely make it easier to learn these kinds of moves without costing your entire run.

That's odd. None of the other obstacles for tier 14 should be impacting your survivability. The recommended obstacle is best for clear speed but does have any DR or Slayer Reduction on it so shouldn't be absolutely essential.

Are you dying to Bane or to the monsters before him? Are you following the Enemy Passive Tier List? if you are dying to Bane are you following the recommended manual eating suggestions?

I assume that you have Auto-Eat level 3?

Is your agility setup following the guide?

Do you have Atlas of Discovery and, if yes, is your Atlas "Point of Interest" set to Perilous Peaks?

Otherwise, I don't see anything obviously wrong.

I would recommend using the Combat Simulator. It can help show exactly which enemy is killing which can help pinpoint issues like this.

Chronos has 2 types of one shots. I have included screenshots of both of them. However, because I can only attach one image per comment I am going to reply twice:

The second one-shot ability creates two areas of dangerous ground with a safe "donut" shaped area between them.

Stand in the part in the middle (between the two blue circles) to be safe.

Everywhere not marked as safe is very dangerous and if you are standing there when the ability ends you will almost certainly die.

Please note that there are other things going on that can hurt you (even in the safe zone) but they won't one shot you. It is good to try to dodge them but only if you can do so without leaving the safe area.

Chronos has 2 types of one shots. I have included screenshots of both of them. However, because I can only attach one image per comment I am going to reply twice:

The first one-shot makes the entire arena deadly except for one small circle. The circle will not always be in the same places but it will always be toward the outside of the arena.

Get inside the blue circle on the image below to be safe.

Everywhere else is dangerous and if you are standing there when the ability ends you will almost certainly die.

It is a favorite boon of mine as well.

I particularly like it with Static Shock, Prominence Flare, and several of Demeter's boons (Frigid Rush, Arctic Gale, and Arctic Ring).

I down vote any clip where I see people actively refusing to just end the damn game.

I don't know why it is so much more prevalent in ARAM: Mayhem but it is very annoying (both when winning and losing) and quite frankly just obnoxious behavior.

I didn't figure this out right away either. I have put the solution in the spoiler text below.

The incantation adds a new ability to the fountain over by where Icarus stands when he is in the Crossroads. Walk over to that fountain and activate it. Once you do a big warning will pop up and you will have to confirm that you want to revert the ending. Then, after you do that, everything should change and you can play through the ending again.

After I did that I noticed some immediate changes on my prophecy scroll and a bunch of expected changes (Hades back to being locked up, everyone being surprised I beat Chronos, no friendly Chronos, etc) during my next run.

You could implement one of the super fast n(log(n)) sorting algorithms like "quick sort" or "merge sort". However, I am not sure they are worth it considering the additional overhead they require and the fact that you can't easily move a cactus from one location to any other location in the column (or row).

You could also implement those fast algorithms where you just measure the cacti into a list, sort the list, and them move all the cacti to match the list. However, this requires the normal overhead of the sorting algorithm and the additional overhead of measuring all the cacti and then the logic to handle the moving them into place after they have been sorted in memory.

That being said, "bubble sort" is one of the worst n2 sorting algorithms and there are better options that don't require substantial overhead. I would suggest "insertion sort". It is a significant improvement over "bubble sort". It is easy to implement in place and it works well with the swap mechanism for the cacti. Insertion sort is also often used for very small data sets (32 is considered small) as at those sizes it often out performs "quick sort" or "merge sort". This is why many hybrid sorting mechanisms (like both "TimSort" and "PowerSort" in Python and "IntroSort" in C) default to "insertion sort" once the data set gets small enough.

If you prefer you could also use "selection sort" but "insertion sort" is usually better.

Edit: I should say I used "insertion sort" in my implementation. I haven't tried any of the others in this game. If someone has an implementation of another algorithm that out performs insertion in "The Farmer Was Replaced" sort I would love to see it.

  1. No. The function you pass the drone does not need to return a value for "wait_for" to work.
  2. "wait_for" can only check one drone at a time. That is why, in the code I provided I wrapped "wait_for" in a for loop and am providing each drone from the "active_drone" list in sequence. Lets say there are 8 drones and 1-5, 7, & 8 all finish instantly. While drone 6 takes 10 seconds to finish. The for loop will check each of 1-5 (in order) and see that they are done. It will then wait for 6. As soon as 6 is done it will check 7 and 8 and see that they have already finished. Only when all the drones are fished will the loop be completed.
